Overview

GymPoint brings member administration, billing, scheduling, check-in, point of sale, waivers, and a member portal and installable app into one system. That breadth can simplify day-to-day operations for gyms that would otherwise coordinate several tools. The tradeoff is that the Free plan requires GymPoint Payments as the processor, so it is not a fit for operators who need to retain another payment provider.

Key features

Member records combine contact details, membership status, billing history, private staff notes, and check-in history. This gives staff useful context in one place, while recurring schedule templates, capacity limits, automated waitlists, member booking, and trial-class bookings that create leads connect class administration with prospect intake.

Pulse AI covers lead scoring, churn prediction, failed-payment recovery, and weekly business insight digests. These tools address follow-up and retention, but the Free plan's $1 monthly credit is only a token allowance; Growth provides 500 monthly credits and Pro removes the stated credit limit.

GymPoint Payments handles tap, chip, swipe, and contactless payments and supports POS and inventory. GymPoint says it does not store, process, or transmit raw cardholder data, relying instead on PCI DSS-compliant third-party processors. Its security policy also states that it enforces HTTPS/TLS and encrypts specified sensitive database data at rest with Fernet encryption. Cancelled-account data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, with backups retained for 30 days.

A public REST API, Zapier-compatible outbound webhooks, Wellhub, Poynt Payments, and embeddable schedule and signup widgets provide ways to connect GymPoint to other workflows. The API and webhooks are useful to teams with integration needs, though the listed integrations do not establish a broad native app ecosystem.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited members plus the core platform: members, billing, scheduling, POS, kiosk, and portal. Its core coverage makes it a practical starting point for a single-location gym, but the required GymPoint Payments processor is a consequential condition, and Pulse AI's $1 monthly credit limits meaningful use of those tools.

Growth costs 149.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and supports 1 location. It includes 500 Pulse AI credits per month, the Full Growth Suite, Smart Dunning & CRM, and priority is not included; priority support is reserved for Pro. Growth is the paid fit for a single-location operator seeking a broader growth and recovery toolkit. Annual billing saves 20% on paid plans.

Pro costs 249.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with unlimited locations, unlimited Pulse AI, and everything in Growth. It is the clear choice for multi-location operators, but the $100 monthly step above Growth is substantial for a gym that does not need additional locations or unlimited credits. A 7-day trial is offered. The platform also supports recurring billing, inventory tracking, barcode scanning, and service sales.

Platforms

GymPoint is available on Android, iOS, and web, with an API for integrations. This mix accommodates staff and member access across mobile and browser workflows.

Who it's for

GymPoint describes plans for gyms of any size, established gyms, and multi-location operators. Its listed fitness types include CrossFit, martial arts, boxing, yoga, gymnastics, dance, Pilates, and personal training. The strongest fit is an operator that wants membership, class, and payment operations under one roof and can use GymPoint Payments; teams requiring another processor should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: The Free plan combines unlimited members with billing, scheduling, POS, kiosk, and portal, giving a small gym substantial operational coverage without a subscription fee.
Pros: Scheduling includes capacity controls, waitlists, and trial bookings that create leads, while Pulse AI targets lead follow-up, churn, and failed payments.
Pros: A public API and outbound webhooks offer an integration path for teams extending their stack.
Cons: Free users must use GymPoint Payments, limiting payment-provider choice.
Cons: Growth is capped at one location, so multi-site businesses must pay for Pro at 249.00 USD per month.
Cons: The Free plan's $1 monthly Pulse AI credit is too small to treat its AI tools as a substantial included capability.

Alternatives

For a broader gym POS comparison, see Gym POS Software. Choose Clubspeed instead if its paid Core package at 319.00 USD per year suits your needs: it includes Core POS, ClubDirector, ClubBooking, e-Giftcards, integrated payments, and business-hours support, but has no free plan or free trial.

Bepoz Club POS is another paid option, available on Android, iOS, and Windows. Consider Echino.Access if you want a web-based paid platform with a Premium offer arranged after a demo. Owners Inventory Gym POS may suit a web-based operation focused on inventory, with a freemium model and Basic at 25.00 USD per month for one store and one POS terminal.

clubcloud is a paid option with custom pricing based on club volume, programming mix, and growth plans. GymRoute POS offers paid plans, including Excel at 99.00 USD per month for member and package management, digital forms, and online booking and scheduling. ParallelPOS is a paid, per-location option with a free trial and a Basic plan at 149.99 USD per month. Posso is another alternative.

Verdict

GymPoint is a strong candidate for gyms that want membership, classes, payments, and lead-retention tools integrated in one platform, particularly when the Free plan's processor requirement is acceptable. Choose Growth for a single location needing the expanded suite; choose Pro when multiple locations justify the higher recurring cost. Look elsewhere if choosing your own payment processor is essential or if the paid plans' location and price terms do not fit.
