Overview

Founded in Melbourne in 2015, HammerTech brings safety, compliance and site operations into one platform. It spans subcontractor management and worker orientations through inspections, incidents, daily reports and site access, which can give contractors a common system for recurring processes across jobs. That breadth matters most when several sites and teams need to coordinate; a small operation may be paying for more scope than it needs.

HammerTech supports web, Android and iOS access, as well as an API. The same login works across web and mobile apps, a practical advantage for staff who move between office administration and field work. The platform identifies itself as ISO 9001:2015 certified and SOC 2 Type 1.

Key features

Construction safety workflows

The platform covers subcontractor management, orientations, job hazard analyses (JHAs), safety data sheets (SDS), pre-task plans, permits, inspections, observations, incidents, corrective actions, safety training, hazard assessments, daily reports and site access. That range makes HammerTech a strong candidate when a contractor wants safety and site workflows together rather than a single-purpose inspection tool. Teams with only a narrow inspection need may find the wider platform unnecessary.

AI assistance

HammerTech Intelligence can transcribe pre-task plans into tasks and hazards, fill site observations from photos, and extract SDS information from PDFs. These functions target documentation-heavy field work and can reduce manual entry in those workflows; they do not change the platform's central focus on construction safety and operations.

Integrations and access

HammerTech lists integrations with Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Irongate, Eyrus, Kwant, Acumatica and LUMA1, and offers an Open API for custom integrations. The integration route is less self-service: HammerTech must enable integrations, with access requested through a Customer Success Representative. Teams that need to connect systems should account for that coordination in rollout planning.

Pricing

HammerTech is paid software with custom pricing based on operational scale and complexity, including annual construction volume and active job-site count. It does not charge per user, so cost is not directly tied to adding workers, but buyers need a tailored quote to assess budget fit.

Subcontractor access: 0.00 USD per free. Subcontractors receive access through the general contractor managing the project; this is not a free plan for a contractor deploying HammerTech across its own operations.
HammerTech: custom pricing. The plan includes core safety workflows, integrations, implementation and onboarding, training, ongoing customer support and knowledge-hub access. Tailored pricing suits larger, complex operations better than teams seeking a self-serve fixed-cost entry point.

There is no free plan. The pricing model avoids per-user charges, but the operational factors used to tailor a quote mean organizations should evaluate fit against their job-site footprint and construction volume.

Platforms

HammerTech is available on the web, Android and iOS, with an API for integrations. A shared login across web and mobile supports switching between office and field work without separate credentials. Windows is not among its listed platforms.

Who it's for

HammerTech is built for commercial and infrastructure contractors overseeing multiple active job sites and needing safety processes that span subcontractors, workers and field operations. It is a poor fit for very small teams and single-project operations, where its breadth and tailored commercial model may be difficult to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad construction workflow coverage: Safety, compliance and site operations sit in one platform, from orientations and hazard planning to incidents and daily reports.
Field-focused AI functions: Plan transcription, photo-based observation autofill and SDS extraction address specific documentation tasks.
No per-user pricing: The tailored model is based on operational scale and complexity rather than user count.
Mobile and integration options: iOS and Android apps, an API and named integrations support field access and connections to other systems.

Cons

Not aimed at small or single-project teams: HammerTech explicitly positions those operations as a poor fit.
Custom pricing requires a quote: Buyers cannot compare a fixed public subscription price against their budget before discussing operational needs.
Integration enablement requires coordination: Access must be enabled by HammerTech and requested through a Customer Success Representative.

Alternatives

HCSS is another paid option across Android, iOS, web, Windows and API, with custom quoting that requires company type and role. Donesafe may suit buyers who want a free trial and pricing customized around modules, worker count and support services. EHS Insight offers a free trial and a small- and medium-business solution with mobile offline capabilities, dashboards and reports.

Field1st is quoted after a short conversation about the operation and licenses own crews and supervisors. Intelex Inspection Management is worth considering for buyers seeking a Safety Essentials plan priced at 44.00 USD per year, with a 25-user minimum and annual billing. SiteDocs offers annual custom-quote subscriptions based on company size and needs, with an initial call required.

Safesite is the clearer alternative for teams prioritizing a free entry point: its free plan supports unlimited members and guests but restricts reporting to the last 30 days. HSE Connect may suit very small teams that prefer published staff-based tiers, including 1-3 staff at 58.00 USD per month with a $495 setup fee.

Verdict

Choose HammerTech if you are a commercial or infrastructure contractor coordinating safety and site operations across multiple jobs and want mobile access, broad workflow coverage and integrations in one platform. Its operational fit is strongest at that scale, while custom pricing and integration enablement add planning overhead. Very small teams, single-project operators and buyers seeking a simple fixed-price tool should look elsewhere.
