Overview

Harmny brings I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signature workflows together with an audit trail. That makes it a practical fit for teams handling several recurring documentation tasks, rather than a standalone answer for organizations seeking only a specialist reporting tool. EEO-1 reporting is included.

The wider product spans 26 modules across Core HR, People Ops, Work, Analytics, and Engagement. The founder describes a focus that includes performance reviews, career frameworks, OKRs, and 1:1s. Teams looking to bring these people processes into one product may value that breadth; teams that only need compliance workflows may find the wider scope unnecessary.

Key features

Compliance records: I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signatures are supported with an audit trail. Keeping these workflows together is useful for teams managing multiple documentation and reporting obligations.
Connections: Google Calendar sync is included on Starter, while custom HRIS integrations are reserved for Enterprise. That leaves Starter with a defined calendar connection, but teams requiring tailored HRIS connections need an enterprise contract.
API access: The REST API is available on Growth and Enterprise. Teams that need programmatic access cannot use Starter for that purpose.
Enterprise controls: Enterprise includes SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and custom data residency. These controls make the top tier relevant to organizations with identity and data-location requirements; SOC 2 Type II remains on Harmny’s roadmap.
Support: Support rises from community on Free to email on Starter, priority on Growth, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager on Enterprise. The free and entry paid tiers therefore provide less direct assistance than Growth and Enterprise.

Pricing

Harmny uses a freemium model, with a 14-day trial for Starter and Growth and no credit card required for those trials. The paid plans have minimum seat counts, so the per-user rate alone does not tell a small team its full entry cost.

Free — 0.00 USD per free, billed Forever: Up to 10 users, 5 GB storage, and a 2 MB file upload limit, with no time limit or credit card requirement. Community support is included. This is a sensible starting point for a small team with modest document needs, but the storage and upload caps can constrain document-heavy use.
Starter — 8.00 USD per month; $6.40 / user / mo billed annually: Unlimited users with a 3-seat minimum, 50 GB storage, and a 25 MB file upload limit. It adds Google Calendar sync and email support. Starter removes the Free plan’s user cap and raises its file limits, but does not include REST API access.
Growth — 16.00 USD per month; $12.80 / user / mo billed annually: Unlimited users with a 5-seat minimum, unlimited storage, and unlimited file upload size. It includes the REST API and priority support. This is the relevant tier for teams needing API access or without practical storage and upload caps, at a higher minimum seat count than Starter.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Annual contracts are available; the plan includes unlimited users, custom HRIS integrations, custom data residency, and a custom SLA, alongside SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM provisioning, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager. It suits organizations needing those controls and tailored integrations, but pricing is not a fixed per-user amount.

Platforms

Harmny supports web and API. The API is a plan-gated capability, available on Growth and Enterprise rather than across every tier.

Who it's for

Harmny is a strong fit for small teams that want a free place to manage several compliance workflows and may later expand into a broader set of HR processes. It also suits growing teams that need API access or larger file allowances. It is a weaker fit for organizations requiring enterprise identity or data-residency controls on a lower-cost plan, or for buyers seeking only a narrow reporting product.

Pros and cons

Pros

Free access without a time limit: Teams of up to 10 users can start without a credit card, useful for evaluating the workflows without a trial deadline.
Several compliance tasks in one place: I-9, EEO-1, consent, policy e-signatures, and an audit trail cover a broader set of recurring work than EEO-1 reporting alone.
Clear upgrade path for growing needs: Growth adds the REST API and removes storage and upload caps; Enterprise adds integration and security controls.

Cons

Free plan is tightly capped for documents: Its 5 GB storage and 2 MB upload limit may be restrictive for teams handling many or large files.
API and advanced controls require higher plans: Starter lacks API access, while SSO/SAML 2.0, SCIM, and custom data residency are Enterprise features.
SOC 2 Type II is not yet complete: It is on the roadmap, which may matter to teams with security assurance requirements.

Alternatives

For a focused EEO reporting shortlist, compare EEO Reporting Software; for a broader people-operations emphasis, consider Employee Experience Management Software or Employee Survey Software.

Workday Human Capital Management is a paid alternative.

Diversio is a paid option with per-contact plans including employee risk insights and manager recommendations; consider it when those insights are more central than Harmny’s compliance workflows.
NEOGOV Insight is a paid option with customized pricing based on products selected and agency size.

Verdict

Choose Harmny HR Compliance if a small or growing team wants I-9, EEO-1, consent, and policy e-signature workflows alongside a wider HR module set, with a free tier that has no expiry. Its strongest reason to look elsewhere is the tier boundary: API access starts at Growth, while enterprise identity and data controls require custom-priced Enterprise.
