Overview

HummingDeck brings a central deck library, branded rooms, viewer analytics, approval workflows, and sharing controls together. That makes it more useful than a bare document link when a deal needs both engagement signals and an organized space for follow-up. Rooms can pair shared materials with phased plans or checklists, assigning buyer and seller owners, private tasks, due dates, and dependencies.

Recipients can accept a document, request changes, or decline it, but those responses are not legally binding e-signatures. Teams that need signed agreements should use a separate signing workflow.

Key features

Analytics report views, time spent per page, completion, and supported clicks on links or elements. This can help sellers see which material attracts attention, but the value of those signals depends on how long the plan retains them: Free is real-time only, Starter keeps 30 days, Pro 90 days, and Business offers unlimited history.

HummingDeck supports PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and HTML documents; interactive HTML files can be up to 100 MB. Rooms can also embed video, scheduling, forms, design, whiteboard, document, presentation, and audio services, including Loom, Calendly, Typeform, Figma, Google Docs, and Spotify. This breadth suits teams that want a deal room to hold more than slide decks, though the Free plan's storage and room caps may constrain larger collections.

Integrations include Zapier, Close CRM, Slack, Google Workspace, and a Chrome extension for Gmail. HubSpot, Canva, Attio, Nutshell, and Capsule CRM are coming soon. API access is available. Pro and Business add email verification for restricted access; links can also have expiration and download controls.

HummingDeck says it uses TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and Google Cloud infrastructure. It says its data processing is covered by a GDPR-ready Data Processing Agreement, offers Standard Contractual Clauses, and does not sell customer data.

Pricing

HummingDeck uses a freemium model. Paid plans include a 7-day trial with no credit card required; if you do not upgrade, the account reverts to Free.

Free — 0.00 USD, free forever: 5 documents, 5 links, 1 deal room, 3 documents per room, and 100 MB storage. It is a practical way to try a small deal workflow, but real-time-only analytics and tight content limits make it a poor fit for teams managing several active opportunities.
Starter — 10.00 USD per month: 1 user, 25 documents, 50 links per document, 3 deal rooms, 1,000 MB storage, and 30-day analytics retention. The low entry price suits a solo user who needs more room and historical engagement than Free allows; the single-user seat limit rules it out for a collaborative sales team.
Pro — 25.00 USD per month per user: 15 deal rooms, 15 documents per room, 100 documents, 90-day analytics retention, and Restricted Access. Email verification for restricted access makes this a stronger choice for teams managing more sensitive sharing, but per-user pricing raises the cost as the team grows.
Business — 40.00 USD per month per user: unlimited documents, links, rooms, and analytics history, plus a custom domain and branding and priority support. It fits teams that need room to scale and a more branded buyer experience; per-user pricing remains a meaningful cost for larger teams.

Platforms

HummingDeck is available on the web, through an extension, and via API. That combination offers browser-based access and an integration path for teams connecting it to their existing stack.

Who it's for

Choose HummingDeck when buyer-facing document sharing, engagement tracking, and coordinated deal next steps belong together. The Free and Starter caps favor evaluation or solo use; Pro and Business are better aligned with teams that need restricted access, longer analytics history, or higher room and document capacity. Look elsewhere if your primary requirement is legally binding e-signature.

Pros and cons

Pro: Rooms combine document engagement with assigned tasks, owners, deadlines, and dependencies, keeping deal materials and next steps in one workspace.
Pro: Broad document support, embeds, and integrations can accommodate a varied sales stack, with API access for further connection.
Pro: The 7-day trial requires no credit card and reverts to Free unless you upgrade.
Con: Free has only 1 room, 5 documents, and 100 MB storage, with no retained analytics history.
Con: Starter is limited to 1 user, while Pro and Business charge per user, which can make team-wide adoption more expensive.
Con: Recipient accept, change-request, and decline actions are not legally binding signatures.

Verdict

HummingDeck is a sound choice for teams that need branded deal rooms to combine document engagement with shared, accountable next steps. Its clearest advantage is that buyers and sellers can work around the same materials and plan; its main limitation is that recipient responses do not replace e-signature, while the single-user Starter tier and per-user higher plans shape the cost of collaboration. Choose it for deal coordination and engagement visibility, and look elsewhere if signed approvals are central to the workflow.
