Overview

Vecteezy is a stock marketplace and online service for licensing photos, vector graphics, illustrations, editorial assets and footage, with an editor and API access. It suits designers and teams that want stock content alongside creative workflows and team controls. Its strongest case is broad Pro access with commercial rights; the trade-off is that free assets require attribution and paid-plan prices are custom pricing.

Key features

The marketplace spans stock photos, vectors and footage, with vector, illustration and editorial assets and a template library. Vecteezy adds thousands of resources daily, and Pro opens a library of more than 60 million images, videos and other assets. That breadth and ongoing additions can serve varied creative needs, though the free tier’s five monthly downloads make it better for occasional use than sustained production.

Pro subscriptions include unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, full commercial rights and no attribution requirement. Licensed content is royalty free. Pro content also carries $10,000 legal protection, and Pro includes priority support. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies only if fewer than three Pro files have been downloaded, a narrow but useful safeguard for a new subscriber.

The online editor keeps asset selection within Vecteezy’s web service, while API access can support integration into other workflows. Vecteezy states that it is SOC 2 compliant. Teams can add seats, invite members, assign roles and reserve billing access for admins; Enterprise adds API and DAM integrations, SSO/SAML and up to $1 million in legal protection per incident. Teams receive priority support and dedicated account management. These controls are useful for organizations managing shared access, but Teams and Enterprise have no free trial; demos are available.

Pricing

Vecteezy is freemium, with a free plan and a 7-day trial. Free users get five monthly downloads, but free resources require attribution, and basic features include ads and limitations. That is a modest allowance for sampling or light use, not a dependable source for regular commercial asset needs.

Paid options include Image Only (5 image downloads, 1 bundle), Video Only (5 video downloads, 1 bundle), Unlimited All Access (unlimited downloads, 1 bundle), and single, five- and ten-download credit packs. Each has custom pricing. The price shown as “Paid from 0 /user/mo” does not establish a usable paid-plan cost, so buyers should confirm pricing before budgeting.

Pro plans remove attribution requirements and provide full commercial rights; Pro also offers unlimited downloads, priority support and $10,000 legal protection. Teams add seat management and dedicated account management, while Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, API and DAM integrations, and up to $1 million in legal protection per incident. Seat counts and plan-specific download terms beyond the stated bundles are not provided here, so confirm these with Vecteezy. Subscriptions can be canceled anytime, which stops automatic renewal.

Platforms

Vecteezy is available on the web, with an online editor, and offers API access. That makes it relevant both to individual browser-based work and workflows that need programmatic access. Enterprise plans include API integration and DAM integration.

Who it's for

Vecteezy is a good fit for designers who need a mixed stock library, regular downloads and commercial rights, and for teams that need shared roles, billing controls or enterprise integrations. The free plan suits limited, attribution-friendly use. It is less compelling for users who need more than five free monthly downloads or want a clearly priced subscription before engaging with sales.

Pros and cons

Pro combines breadth and volume: more than 60 million assets and unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads suit ongoing creative work.
Commercial use is straightforward on Pro: full commercial rights and no attribution simplify production compared with the attribution-required free tier.
Team and enterprise controls are substantial: role assignment, billing restrictions, SSO/SAML and DAM integration address shared-workflow needs.
Free use is constrained: five monthly downloads, attribution, ads and feature limitations restrict its usefulness for regular work.
Pricing is hard to assess: plan prices are custom pricing, making cost comparison and budget planning difficult.
Team evaluation requires a demo: Teams and Enterprise lack a free trial.

Alternatives

For a free library with full-resolution photo and video downloads after sign-up, consider Pixabay; its listed library plan is free, while Vecteezy’s free assets require attribution and its allowance is five monthly downloads. Choose Pexels when a free photo-and-video service with a defined API allowance—200 requests an hour and 20,000 a month—better fits the workflow. For a paid alternative with published annual-plan monthly prices, iStock lists Basic at 29.00 USD per month and Premium at 70.00 USD per month, each billed annually with 10 downloads per month; Vecteezy instead emphasizes unlimited Pro downloads but uses custom pricing.

Other options include Depositphotos, Unsplash, Dreamstime, Bigstock and Adobe Stock. For a broader comparison, see Stock Photo Websites, Vector Graphics Software, Stock Vector Libraries and Graphic Design Software.

Verdict

Choose Vecteezy if your work needs a broad stock library, unlimited Pro downloads, commercial rights and a path to team or enterprise controls. Its combination of assets, editor and API access is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need substantial free use or transparent subscription costs before committing time to a sales conversation.
