Overview

Inflo is a digital audit platform for accounting and audit firms. It is best suited to practices that want engagement documentation, analytics, client collaboration, and quality processes in one workflow; its modular, engagement-based licensing makes it a less straightforward choice for firms seeking a fixed per-seat price.

Its breadth is the draw: teams can bring multiple stages of audit work together, while firms should weigh the scope they need against a fee that varies by module and client or engagement volume.

Key features

Working Papers: Combines engagement management and audit documentation with digital audit methodology and content management. Workpaper templates, evidence collection, review workflows, and reporting support a structured process from documentation through review.
Audit Data Analytics: Supports risk assessment and audit testing, with data extraction described as integrating with any client system. That breadth is useful for firms working across varied client environments.
Digital Collaboration: Centralizes client communications, requests, and documents, with real-time status tracking. This gives engagement teams a shared view of outstanding work.
Quality Management: Built-in frameworks, automated workflows, and real-time monitoring support audit quality processes. Firms looking to connect engagement work with quality oversight will find this more relevant than a tool focused solely on workpapers.
Office and platform connections: InfloLink connects engagement and trial-balance information to Microsoft Excel and Word documents. The platform also supports SSO and API integrations, making those connections relevant to firms fitting it into an existing stack.
Security and AI: Inflo says it is hosted on Microsoft Azure, uses 256-bit encryption for data in transit and at rest, and has ISO/IEC 27001:2022 accreditation and a SOC 2 Type II audit report. Two-factor or multi-factor authentication can be enabled, and lead users control engagement access. Its AI is described as assistive, with auditors retaining oversight of evidence evaluation and conclusions.

Pricing

Inflo Digital Audit: Custom pricing. Licensing varies according to the modules used in each engagement, and fees depend on clients or engagements. A free plan is available, but no seat allowance, usage cap, or trial length is stated. Firms should establish how their expected engagement mix affects the fee before choosing a configuration.

The free plan gives Inflo a lower-friction entry point than a paid-only platform, but without published caps or terms it is difficult to judge how far it will cover a practice’s needs. The custom-priced plan is a better fit for firms that value the broader audit workflow and can price it against their actual modules and engagement volume; it is less convenient for buyers who need predictable, publicly priced seats.

Platforms

Inflo is available on the web and through an API. Its web deployment suits browser-based teams, while the API and SSO support matter to firms integrating the platform with their existing systems. InfloLink extends the workflow into Excel and Word.

Who it's for

Inflo targets accounting and audit firms, from small practices to global enterprises. It makes the most sense for teams seeking connected documentation, analytics, collaboration, and quality management rather than a standalone workpaper tool. A firm that needs a fixed price, or only one narrow audit function, may prefer to compare alternatives before adopting a broader platform.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad audit workflow: Documentation, analytics, collaboration, and quality management cover distinct stages of audit work within one platform.
Client-system data extraction: Analytics is described as integrating with any client system, which can help firms handle varied client environments.
Document and engagement links: InfloLink connects engagement and trial-balance information to Excel and Word, while SSO and APIs support wider integration.
Auditor oversight of AI: The stated assistive approach leaves evidence evaluation and conclusions with auditors.

Cons

Custom, engagement-dependent pricing: Fees vary by modules and client or engagement volume, so firms cannot quickly compare a standard per-seat price.
Free-plan terms are unclear: Without a stated seat or usage cap, buyers cannot readily tell whether the free tier will cover their work.
Wide scope may be unnecessary: Firms seeking only a single audit function may not need a platform spanning collaboration and quality management as well.
