Overview

InfluenceX brings creator marketing work from discovery through campaign measurement into one application. Its outreach pipeline connects drafting and approval to sending through Resend, while inbound webhooks capture replies. Campaign workflows cover contracts, content, and payments, and the ROI dashboard reports funnel and delivery metrics alongside effective CPM and cost per outcome.

That breadth is useful for teams that want to coordinate work and measure outcomes in a self-managed system. It is less compelling for teams seeking a hosted service with minimal infrastructure ownership: InfluenceX is self-hosted, and its documented backend stack includes Node.js 20 or later, Express 5, and PostgreSQL 15 or SQLite.

Key features

Discovery and outreach

Discovery spans YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram via Apify, as well as Twitch. Email finding checks address patterns, creator bios and link services such as Linktree and Beacons, personal websites, and Hunter.io domain search. Those multiple routes give teams several ways to identify contact details, but Instagram discovery depends on Apify.

The outreach workflow supports drafting, review, approval, and sending through Resend, with inbound webhooks for replies. This creates a more controlled process than sending directly from an unstructured list, while requiring teams to use the supported sending integration.

Campaigns and reporting

Campaign management tracks contract, content, and payment workflows. Reporting includes conversion funnel, reply, contract, and completion rates, plus effective CPM and cost per outcome. Google Analytics 4 supplies website metrics, Feishu sheets can sync analytics, and daily content-stat trends provide another view of campaign activity. Webhook notifications support Slack, Feishu, and Discord.

Administration and API

Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles, user invitations, and English and Chinese interfaces cover basic team access needs. The project documents a Swagger UI and OpenAPI 3.1 specification, available after starting the server, which gives developers a defined API surface to work with. Security provisions include rate limiting, a CORS whitelist, login lockout, health checks, and Google Cloud Secret Manager for secrets in its Cloud Run deployment.

Pricing

InfluenceX costs 0.00 USD per free and is open source under the MIT license. The free offering is the self-hosted application; teams avoid a subscription but take responsibility for running and configuring it. No paid plan is described, so this is a fit for teams able to supply the required runtime and database rather than buyers looking for a managed tier.

Docker Compose and Docker-host deployment are supported. SQLite is the default database, with PostgreSQL as an option; the documented backend requirements specify PostgreSQL 15 or SQLite. This gives smaller deployments a simpler default while preserving a PostgreSQL path for teams whose stack calls for it.

Platforms

InfluenceX supports API, self-hosted, and web use. The documented deployment options are Docker Compose or a Docker host. Its API documentation becomes available after the server starts, so teams should treat the API as part of an operating application rather than a separate hosted service.

Who it's for

InfluenceX is best for developer-led marketing teams that want control over deployment, an open-source license, campaign operations, and ROI reporting in one platform. It is especially relevant when the team can support Node.js 20 or later and choose between SQLite and PostgreSQL, and when discovery across its supported social platforms matches the campaign mix.

Teams that need a fully managed product, or that want discovery outside the stated platform coverage, should consider alternatives. Likewise, teams should account for the setup and maintenance that come with self-hosting rather than treating the zero-dollar price as zero operational cost.

Pros and cons

Pros

MIT-licensed and self-hosted at no subscription cost: teams can run the platform on their own Docker-based infrastructure.
Connected campaign workflow: outreach review and sending, reply capture, contract/content/payment tracking, and outcome reporting sit within one product.
Developer-facing integration surface: OpenAPI 3.1, Swagger UI, analytics integrations, and Slack, Feishu, and Discord webhooks support stack integration.
Flexible database choice: SQLite is the default, with PostgreSQL available for teams that need it.

Cons

Self-hosting is an operational commitment: teams need to run the backend and maintain its database rather than rely on a managed service.
Discovery has platform-specific setup: Instagram discovery runs via Apify, which teams must account for in their configuration.
Sending is tied to Resend: the documented outreach flow uses that provider for sending.

Alternatives

For a narrower analytics-and-tracking choice, Attriq has a free plan capped at 3 creators and 1,000 clicks per month, with QR codes and a basic dashboard; its $29.00 USD per month Starter plan raises those caps to 10 creators and 10,000 clicks and adds CSV/PDF exports. Pick it when those tracked-link limits and a paid hosted plan suit better than running a self-hosted workflow.

CreatorDB offers free minimal search and public profile views, but credits are pay-as-you-go at $0.040 each with a $40 minimum top-up. Its free tier includes no credits, so it is a better fit when creator search and profile viewing are the priority and the credit model works for the budget.

Brandwatch Listen is a paid API and web option with saved searches allotted according to the Social Media Management contract; choose it when that contract-based search arrangement is a better fit.

IQFluence is a paid API and web platform with a free trial; its Starter plan is $236.00 USD per month on a yearly plan. Consider it when a paid, trial-eligible alternative better matches the team’s purchasing preference.

AURA offers a paid platform-only plan with per-creator tracked links and live revenue, ROI, and post analytics; its price is custom pricing. Choose it when those tracking and analytics capabilities are the priority.

Linkster starts with Discovery at 299.00 EUR per month, with unlimited seats and no caps on searches or profiles viewed; an annual plan is available at a 25% discount versus monthly. It suits teams that value uncapped discovery and unlimited seats over self-hosting.

Nindo is a paid API and web option with a free trial. Choose it if a trial-eligible paid alternative better fits the team.

Storyclash starts at 499.00 EUR per month for 10+ monthly collaborations, with Growth at 999.00 EUR per month for 50+ and Scale at 1899.00 EUR per month for 100+ paid collaborations. It is more suitable when those collaboration-volume tiers match the program.

Verdict

Choose InfluenceX if your team wants an open-source, self-hosted system that connects creator outreach and campaign execution to ROI reporting, and has the capacity to run its backend. Its strongest case is the combination of control, API access, and end-to-end workflow without a subscription fee. Look elsewhere if you need managed operations or discovery that does not fit its supported platform setup.
