Overview

Spheri turns a 3D product model into visuals, configurable variants and browser-based AR for teams selling physical goods online. It suits brands that want customers to explore products on their own sites and teams that need to distribute product content across multiple channels. The main appeal is a single workflow for creating and publishing product experiences; the free tier is too limited for a live configurator.

Key features

Content Studio creates product visuals, and generated materials turn a photo of a material sample into textures for product variants. That lets teams present finish options alongside interactive product content. Atelier supports product setup, and Spheri can help prepare an initial 3D model, material library and configurator before the team maintains them in the dashboard.

Publishing covers product images, 360 views, AR links, embeds and interactive configurators. Customers can open a browser AR link on a supported mobile device without installing an app. Embeds are intended for Shopify, WooCommerce and custom websites; API-first publishing can distribute content to catalogs, dealer portals, showrooms and internal tools. That breadth is valuable for teams working across channels, but API access is reserved for Scale.

The configurator and interactive 3D viewer make Spheri more than a static rendering tool. Generated visuals and materials add creation options, while the published experiences bring them to customers. AI features may use third-party providers such as OpenAI, Google Gemini and fal.ai. The Acceptable Use Policy prohibits submitting personal data, including identifiable photos, to AI workflows, a meaningful constraint for teams handling customer imagery.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Starter	0.00 EUR per free	Free forever; 1 product, no live configurator, 0.5 GB storage, 2 GB CDN fair-use, 0 included credits and Spheri watermark.
Studio	149.00 EUR per month	Net monthly; 5 products, 1 configurator, 50 credits/mo, 5 GB storage, 50 GB CDN fair-use, AR and embed; for companies up to €300k annual revenue.
Scale	499.00 EUR per month	Net monthly; 30 products, 5 configurators, 150 credits/mo, 50 GB storage, 500 GB CDN fair-use, API, webhooks and advanced analytics; for companies up to €1M annual revenue.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	On request; custom products and configurators, with credits, usage, storage, CDN and limits by agreement, plus onboarding, integrations and SLA options.

Starter is useful for a small first product presence, but its single-product cap, watermark and lack of a live configurator make it a poor fit for a full shopping experience. Studio is the entry point for a branded, interactive deployment: its five-product allowance and single configurator suit a smaller catalog, but its stated revenue ceiling and absence of API access limit its fit for larger or multi-channel operations. Scale raises capacity substantially and adds API publishing, webhooks and analytics; its €1M annual revenue threshold gives growing teams a clear dividing line. Enterprise is the route for custom capacity and service options, with terms set by agreement.

Platforms

Spheri is available on web and through an API. The API is relevant to teams distributing visuals and interactive experiences beyond a standard storefront, while web embeds cover Shopify, WooCommerce and custom websites. Browser AR also works from a link on supported mobile devices without a separate app.

Who it's for

Spheri is built for teams selling physical products online, including furniture, decor, apparel, equipment, lighting, accessories and custom-made goods. It is a strong fit when product variants, interactive configuration or browser AR can improve how customers inspect an item, particularly when a team needs to publish beyond one storefront. Teams with just one product and no need for live configuration can start on Starter. Those needing API access, higher quotas or a larger catalog should look at Scale or Enterprise. Teams submitting personal data or identifiable photos to AI workflows should choose another process for those inputs.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines product visuals, material variants, configurators and browser AR, reducing the need to assemble separate product-content workflows.
Pros: API-first publishing targets catalogs, dealer portals, showrooms and internal tools as well as storefront embeds.
Pros: Spheri can help prepare an initial model, material library and configurator, then the team can update them in the dashboard.
Cons: Starter has no live configurator, includes no credits and applies a watermark, so it is not a complete production storefront experience.
Cons: API access appears only on Scale, priced at 499.00 EUR per month, making multi-channel publishing a significant step up from Studio.
Cons: AI workflows cannot accept personal data, including identifiable photos, which narrows the inputs teams can use.

Alternatives

Product Visualization Software is a broader category to explore when comparing tools beyond Spheri.

3DBAE is worth considering when mobile and desktop platform coverage matters, or when a free hobby tier with a 1-project limit and no AI credits is enough to begin.

Sayduck is an alternative for teams seeking a paid product with a free trial and monthly or annual subscriptions.

Cylindo is an alternative for businesses looking for a quote tailored to catalog size and sales channels, with a separate 3D Design Bundle available by quote.

Zolak may suit teams that want CMS access, cloud infrastructure and 3D asset management through a paid platform fee, with a 3D Configurator offered separately.

3D Product Config is a paid alternative with a free trial and a Starter plan that includes 20 configurators, 100 3D model files and 200 texture files.

Mazing is an alternative for teams seeking hosted 3D/AR models alongside monthly AI model, lifestyle-rendering and product-video allowances.

KeyShot is an alternative for teams prioritizing real-time ray tracing, broad CAD format support, local AI tools and animation.

Spellexo is another freemium option, with a free tier for one product or variant and a paid Starter tier.

Verdict

Choose Spheri if your team sells physical products and needs to turn 3D assets into configurable, AR-ready content for storefronts and other channels. Its strongest reason to buy is the combination of creation, setup and publishing in one product workflow. Look elsewhere if you need API access below Scale, or if the free tier must support a live configurator without a watermark.
