Overview

Novorésumé is a web-based resume and cover-letter builder with an accompanying set of AI job-search tools. It suits applicants who want polished, ATS-oriented documents and teams or individuals who value one-time Premium billing over a recurring subscription. Its free plan is tightly capped at one resume version and one page; Premium broadens document and design options.

Key features

Templates are designed to be ATS-friendly and reviewed by professional typographers and hiring managers. That makes Novorésumé a practical choice for applicants who want structured, professionally considered layouts without sacrificing applicant-tracking compatibility. Formatted resumes and CVs can be downloaded as PDFs on every plan, so document export is not reserved for paid users.

The AI toolkit covers resume building, ATS checking, job matching, cover-letter generation, professional bios and other job-search tasks. Free users receive two uses per month for each AI tool; Premium users receive 10. Each tool can be tried once without an account, while signing up saves results and provides unlimited access to each tool. The monthly quotas make free access useful for occasional exploration, but a sustained job search may quickly outgrow them.

Novorésumé also supports resume import and a cover-letter builder. Its CV maker works on phones, tablets and desktops, with documents synchronized across devices. For applicants moving between devices, this is more convenient than a desktop-bound workflow.

Some AI features use OpenAI and Anthropic. Novorésumé says those providers do not train their models on user data. Personal data is retained on Novorésumé's servers as long as needed, up to six years after last use. The company describes its storage as secured behind firewalls, while cautioning that internet transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Its privacy policy says processing follows Danish and EU data-protection law and references GDPR safeguards for transfers.

Pricing

Novorésumé is freemium, with no free trial. Basic has no listed price and allows one version and a one-page resume. It is the sensible starting point for a single short resume, but the one-version limit is restrictive for applicants tailoring documents to different roles.

Premium is priced at 23.99 USD per month, billed as a one-time payment with no recurring billing. It supports multiple versions and resumes or CVs up to 10 pages, removes watermarking and branding, and adds custom layouts, matching cover letters, 12 fonts, 74 color themes, creative backgrounds, four picture styles, creative rating styles and icons for interests and causes. The expanded page limit and version control suit applicants managing longer CVs or several applications; the design options matter most to people who want more control over presentation.

Premium — Month is 23.99 USD per month, Premium — Quarter is 59.99 USD per month, and Premium — Year is 199.99 USD per month. Each is billed once, with no recurring billing, and includes a 10-page resume/CV. The quarterly and yearly figures are higher total commitments than the monthly option, so readers should weigh the term against how long they expect to need Premium. Across all plans, free PDF downloads preserve a usable export path for Basic users.

Platforms

Novorésumé runs on the web and its CV maker supports phones, tablets and desktops, synchronizing documents across devices. It does not offer the breadth of native platform options shown by some alternatives, so applicants seeking dedicated mobile apps may prefer another builder.

Who it's for

Novorésumé is best for applicants who want ATS-oriented resume templates, PDF export, and resume and cover-letter creation in one web workflow. It is also a good fit for people who need multiple versions, longer CVs or more design choices and prefer a one-time Premium payment. It is less compelling for users who need extensive AI use without paying, or whose priority is a native mobile app.

Pros and cons

Pros: ATS-oriented templates reviewed by typographers and hiring managers give applicants a structured starting point.
Pros: PDF downloads on all plans let Basic users export a finished document without upgrading.
Pros: Premium's no-recurring-billing terms and multiple-version support suit applicants adapting documents across applications.
Cons: Basic is limited to one version and one page, a poor fit for longer CVs or role-specific variants.
Cons: AI usage is capped monthly even on Premium at 10 uses per tool, which may constrain frequent use across a broad job search.
Cons: The product is web-only, despite supporting mobile browsers.

Alternatives

For a broader starting point, browse Resume Builders, Cover Letter Software, Resume Design Software or AI Resume Builders.

Choose Kickresume if native Android or iOS apps matter alongside web access; its free plan includes four basic resume templates and four matching cover-letter templates. MyPerfectResume is worth considering for its free trial and Android and iOS apps. Resume Genius offers a free plan with TXT resume downloads and PDF, Word and TXT cover-letter downloads, plus a US-only job board; its trial and mobile apps may suit applicants wanting those options. Resume.io is another web-based freemium choice, with a seven-day trial and premium templates and colors. ResumeBuilder.com provides unlimited TXT downloads on its free plan and lists a 14-day access plan at 1.95 USD. Rezi may fit applicants who want an extension or iOS app and can work within a free plan capped at one resume, one AI interview and three PDF downloads. Zety is an alternative for users who want a free trial and resume and cover-letter downloads in TXT format. CakeResume offers web and mobile apps, with a free plan that includes 60 Cake AI credits per month and one resume.

Verdict

Choose Novorésumé if ATS-oriented templates, cross-device editing and dependable PDF export matter more than generous free limits, and you want Premium without recurring billing. Its key trade-off is clear: Basic is narrow, while Premium expands page length, versions and presentation options but still limits monthly AI uses. Applicants who need native mobile apps or heavier AI usage should compare alternatives before committing.
