Overview

Trips are built on an interactive map, with real-time shared editing for stops, transport, attractions, restaurants, tours and notes. Booking imports and expense splitting make the itinerary a place to coordinate logistics as well as route choices. That broader scope suits travelers managing a trip together; people who only need a basic list of destinations may find the extra booking and expense layer unnecessary.

Users can find offers through partners including GetYourGuide and Omio. Lambus also accommodates business travel, where appointments and hotel information can sit alongside other trip details. The AI Connector can work with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to build itineraries, add destinations, find places, track expenses, manage bookings and take notes. Assistant availability and plan support may change as those services roll out MCP features, so teams depending on a particular integration should treat it as a moving part.

Key features

Shared itinerary planning: Map-based planning and real-time stop editing give groups a common working plan, with space for transport, activities, dining, tours and notes. It also works for solo trips, but collaboration is the clearest differentiator.
Bookings and expenses: Users can import booking documents, explore partner offers and split group costs. This keeps reservations and shared spending close to the itinerary, though travelers focused only on routing may not need these tools.
PRO travel tools: Offline trip access, calendar sync, PDF and expense exports, Google Maps place search, automatic currency conversion and real-time flight updates are PRO features. These are useful for travelers who need their plan accessible and actionable while away; their placement in the paid tier limits the free plan's usefulness for that audience.
Documents and storage: PRO storage is described as unlimited for photos, bookings and PDFs. Private items such as passports or driver's licenses can be stored on the device, protected with biometrics and not sent to the cloud. This is a meaningful privacy distinction for sensitive documents, though Lambus does not guarantee absolute confidentiality overall.
Security and support: Lambus says personal data is transmitted using TLS and website data is stored on servers in Frankfurt am Main. Its privacy policy identifies Google Firebase, Crashlytics and Google Maps integrations, as well as PayPal for settling travel expenses between users. Live chat and hello@lambus.com provide support channels.

Pricing

Lambus uses a freemium model. The basic platform costs 0.00 USD per free, with PRO features separate; it is a sensible starting point for travelers who want shared trip planning without committing to a subscription. The free plan gives up the PRO toolkit, including offline access, calendar sync and exports.

PRO for One Year: 24.99 EUR per year, billed as a €24,99 one-time gift purchase for one year of PRO. PRO features apply to all trips during the upgrade period. The one-time structure may suit someone buying a defined year of premium access, but it is not the recurring subscription.
PRO for Lifetime: 99.99 EUR per once, billed as a €99,99 one-time payment for lifetime premium access. The plan is marked sold out, so it is not a dependable purchase option.
Lambus PRO yearly subscription: Custom pricing; the price depends on local currency and selected package, with additional savings versus monthly. PRO features apply to the whole trip, including friends traveling with the subscriber.
Lambus PRO monthly subscription: Custom pricing, dependent on local currency and selected package. PRO features also apply to the whole trip and traveling friends, which makes the paid upgrade more useful for a group than a single-seat feature unlock.

The pricing summary gives a paid-from figure of €11.97/mo and a 30-day trial. Subscription prices vary by local currency and package, so the monthly headline should not be treated as a universal checkout price.

Platforms

Lambus supports Android, iOS and web, with web as its primary platform. That covers travelers planning on a browser and accessing trips on phones. Offline access is a PRO feature, so mobile availability alone does not mean every trip detail is available without a connection.

Who it's for

Lambus is a strong fit for groups that need to coordinate itinerary changes, booking documents and shared costs in one trip workspace. Solo travelers can still benefit from the map, imports and document tools, while business travelers can keep appointments and hotel information with their trip. It is less suitable for anyone seeking only a lightweight route builder or for teams that require assured long-term support from the AI Connector's named assistants.

Pros and cons

Pro: Real-time shared planning, booking imports and expense splitting address the practical coordination work that comes with group travel.
Pro: PRO combines offline access, calendar sync, exports, flight updates and place search, while extending premium features to friends on the trip.
Pro: Private documents can remain on-device and use biometric protection, a useful option for sensitive travel IDs.
Con: Offline access, exports and several other useful trip tools require PRO, reducing the free plan's appeal for travelers who need a complete on-the-road toolkit.
Con: Subscription pricing varies by currency and package, and the lifetime option is marked sold out, making the lasting cost harder to compare from the outset.
Con: AI Connector assistant availability and plan support may shift as MCP features roll out, which makes it a less reliable foundation for a fixed team workflow.
Con: Lambus cautions that absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, and its privacy policy names several external service integrations.

Stippl offers a free tier with unlimited trips, destinations, activities, co-planners, expenses and journal entries, plus AI generation, PDF export and calendar sync; it may suit users prioritizing broad free-tier allowances.
TripCraftr offers a free plan with unlimited trips and invitees, alongside daily document and assistant-reply limits; consider it if unlimited trip and invitee counts matter more than those capped daily allowances.
TripIt has a free plan capped at three uploaded documents per trip and a $49 PER YEAR Pro plan with a 25-document cap; it may fit travelers whose main need is organizing reservations with a defined document allowance.
TREK is free for personal and internal company use under AGPL-3.0 and supports self-hosting; choose it when that licensing and deployment model is the priority.
Wanderlog offers unlimited trips and collaborators on its free website and app; it is worth considering when those free-plan limits are the deciding factor.

Roadtrippers is another freemium option for web, iOS and Android.

Verdict

Choose Lambus if your group needs one shared place for trip planning, reservations and expenses, and PRO's offline access and exports justify the upgrade. Look elsewhere if you need those capabilities without a paid tier, require stable AI assistant support, or prefer a simpler itinerary tool without the wider trip-management layer.
