Overview

Litekart brings a storefront, admin dashboard, vendor portal and API server together in a downloadable stack, with commerce functions connected across them. Its API-first design, documented APIs, events and webhooks make it a practical base for custom interfaces and integrations, rather than a turnkey managed store.

The maker, also named Litekart, was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Rourkela, Odisha, India. Self-hosting keeps data and deployment policies in the customer's hands, but also puts infrastructure and compliance decisions on that team.

Key features

Marketplace and B2B operations

Vendor onboarding, catalogues, commission rules, vendor orders and automated payouts support multi-seller operations under shared administration. That is a substantial foundation for a marketplace, though teams still need to build the customer-facing experience that fits their business.

For B2B, company accounts, buyer roles, tiered and account-specific pricing, minimum order rules, approval workflows, credit limits and quote-to-order conversion cover more than simple bulk purchasing. These controls make Litekart relevant to businesses with distinct buying policies; teams that only need a straightforward single-store checkout may not need this breadth.

Commerce, integrations and security

The stack connects products, customers, pricing, inventory, cart, checkout, orders, payments and administration. Razorpay, Stripe and PayPal are included payment integrations, with an abstraction layer for adding other gateways. Shipping and logistics providers, email and SMS notifications, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and analytics are also supported; APIs and webhooks provide routes to ERP, CRM and OMS systems.

Stores include server-side rendering, automated sitemaps, structured data and clean URLs, plus marketing integrations. Integrated payment gateways are PCI-DSS compliant and passwords use strong one-way hashing. Self-hosting allows customers to apply their own security and compliance policies end to end, which offers control but requires them to manage those policies themselves. Products, customers and orders can be exported through APIs and CSV at any time.

Android and iOS apps can be built and branded as a paid service, then published from the customer's developer accounts. Litekart's engineering team offers setup guidance, architecture reviews, deployment help, custom development, integrations, migration and ongoing technical support.

Pricing

Download and Build costs 0.00 USD per free. It includes self-hosting on your infrastructure, full source code, all features and community resources. For developers able to implement and operate the stack, this is the clearest way to use Litekart without a software fee; the customer still supplies and runs the infrastructure. There is no free trial because the core plan is free.

White Label has custom pricing and includes complete white labeling, software updates and standard support. Engineering Support has custom pricing for architecture reviews, deployment assistance, priority support, custom modules and integrations. Complete Platform Delivery also has custom pricing and covers design and build, deployment, ongoing maintenance and optional managed infrastructure. These paid services suit teams wanting help or a more complete delivery; branded mobile apps are also a paid service.

The free offer includes all features, so Litekart's trade-off is not a stated feature tier but the responsibility for self-hosting and building. Teams that need implementation or ongoing assistance should weigh the custom-priced services against that work.

Platforms

Litekart supports Android, iOS, web, API and self-hosted deployments. Web and API foundations suit teams building their own commerce experience; native apps can be commissioned and published through the customer's developer accounts.

Who it's for

Litekart fits engineering-led teams that need a self-hosted marketplace or B2B foundation, want control of their data, and can own implementation and operations. Its vendor and buyer controls are especially relevant when the business needs multi-seller workflows or account-specific purchasing rules. It is less suitable for teams seeking a ready-to-run managed store or unwilling to take on deployment and compliance responsibilities.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan includes the full source and all features, giving capable teams a broad self-hosted starting point without a software charge.

Pro: APIs, events and webhooks, plus CSV and API exports, support integration and customer control over data.

Verdict

Choose Litekart if your team wants a broad, free, self-hosted base for marketplace or B2B commerce and has the engineering capacity to operate and adapt it. Its main advantage is the combination of full-source access and deep vendor and buyer workflows; look elsewhere if you need a managed product or do not want to carry infrastructure and implementation work.
