Overview

G HUB brings peripheral configuration, game profiles, lighting and game-library controls together. For Logitech G owners, that means a single app can cover several parts of a gaming setup rather than only device settings. It is not a cross-brand peripheral manager, so its value falls sharply if your hardware is outside the Logitech G range.

The Games feature can organize and launch libraries that include Steam and GOG titles. Account holders can also upload and download profiles, lighting and other settings through the Community Library. The library and community features broaden the app's role, although the latter requires an account.

Key features

Device setup and game profiles

G HUB Basics handles DPI, assignments and LIGHTSYNC effects; KEYCONTROL provides a configuration interface for Logitech G keyboards. Device presets and game profiles let players configure peripherals for particular titles. That is a practical advantage for people who adjust controls or settings by game, but it offers little to someone who does not own compatible Logitech G hardware.

Lighting and device synchronization

LIGHTSYNC RGB supports custom animations, synchronization across G devices and Windows Dynamic Lighting. For a setup built around compatible peripherals, that gives lighting a shared control point instead of treating each device in isolation. Game lighting effects are supported, but the stated Windows Dynamic Lighting support makes the operating-system distinction relevant to buyers comparing platforms.

Audio, streaming and development

Mixline provides audio routing, mixing and streaming tools, while Streamlabs covers going live, viewer engagement, stream design and growth. These extend the ecosystem beyond peripheral setup, though they are separate named tools rather than evidence that G HUB itself replaces every streaming workflow. Logitech offers steering-wheel and LED-illumination SDKs, and G HUB is required to use them, which makes the app relevant to developers building around those device capabilities.

Game integrations include Logitech G integration in Final Fantasy XIV; LIGHTSYNC has also featured in Star Wars: Battlefront II and Battlefield 1. Those examples indicate game-specific integration, not a guarantee of equivalent integration across a library.

Pricing

G HUB is free, with no paid tier stated. Both plans cost 0.00 USD per free:

Plan	Price	Includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	LIGHTSYNC RGB customization, device configuration and presets, and game profiles
G HUB	0.00 USD per free	Configuration for Logitech G gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, speakers and other devices

There is no paid upgrade or stated seat limit to weigh against those features. The meaningful limit is device scope: the free app is for Logitech G peripherals, not a universal utility for mixed-brand hardware.

Platforms

G HUB runs on Windows and macOS, with compatibility for recent versions. The latest release notes drop support for macOS Ventura, so Ventura users should not assume compatibility; check their OS requirements before making the app central to a setup.

With consent, G HUB may collect feature usage, device discovery and configuration, system, performance and diagnostic data, crash data, and application activity. Logitech says it uses TLS certificates, encryption, access limitations, antivirus software and firewalls to reduce unauthorized-access risks. Teams should weigh that consent-based collection against their privacy requirements.

Who it's for

G HUB is best suited to Logitech G owners who want peripheral settings, per-game profiles and synchronized lighting in one place. It also fits developers who need the required companion software for Logitech's steering-wheel or LED-illumination SDKs. It is a weaker choice for people seeking one control app for several peripheral brands, or for macOS Ventura users who need dependable ongoing support.

Pros and cons

Pro: Device configuration, presets, game profiles and LIGHTSYNC controls are available in one free app, which suits players with several Logitech G devices.
Pro: The Games feature can organize and launch libraries including Steam and GOG, extending the app beyond peripheral settings.
Pro: Community Library uploads and downloads can give account holders shared profiles and lighting settings to work with.
Con: The configuration scope is Logitech G hardware, limiting its usefulness in mixed-brand setups.
Con: macOS Ventura support has been dropped, which rules it out for users who need that OS version supported.
Con: Consent-based collection includes device, system and application activity data, a consideration for privacy-sensitive users and teams.

Alternatives

Logi Options+ is a free alternative for supported Logitech devices on Windows 10 or later and macOS 12 or later; choose it when those supported devices and OS versions match your needs better than a Logitech G gaming setup.

SteelSeries GG is a free download for Windows 10+ and macOS; consider it if you want to compare another free peripheral-software option on those platforms.

HyperX NGENUITY is free for compatible HyperX devices and Windows only, making it the alternative to consider for that hardware and platform combination.

Glorious CORE is free for configuring most Glorious products on Windows and macOS; cloud profile saving requires a Glorious ID, so weigh that account requirement if cloud saves matter.

Rebind offers a free software mode with Luau scripting, no account or Rebind Link requirement, and Linux, macOS and Windows support; it is a broader platform option if those traits are a priority.

Razer Synapse is a free alternative for macOS, web and Windows.

Cooler Master MasterPlus+ is free for compatible Cooler Master products on Windows 10 and 11, so it is the relevant alternative for that hardware.

MonsGeek Driver is free and offers keyboard driver and configuration downloads for supported models, with macOS, web and Windows access; consider it for a supported MonsGeek keyboard.

Compare it with broader keyboard and mouse customization software, RGB lighting software and gaming peripheral software if you are still choosing a category of tool.

Verdict

Choose G HUB if your setup centers on Logitech G peripherals and you want free device configuration, game profiles and synchronized lighting alongside library controls. Its clearest reason to choose it is that combination in one app; look elsewhere if you need cross-brand control or rely on macOS Ventura support.
