Overview

Loyverse is a mobile POS suite with restaurant workflows alongside tools for sales, stock, staff and customers. It is best suited to small restaurants that want table tickets, kitchen routing and basic loyalty without an upfront software charge. Its central trade-off is that the free plan limits sales reporting to 31 days, while deeper reporting and some staff and inventory functions carry per-store fees.

Key features

Orders and menus

Open tickets can be assigned to tables, split, merged or moved between tickets. Custom menu categories and item modifiers accommodate restaurant menus, and dine-in, takeout and delivery labels distinguish order types. That covers useful front-of-house basics, though the listed order channel is table service rather than a wider set of ordering channels.

Kitchen workflow

Orders can be routed to kitchen displays or printers with item details, quantities, modifiers and comments. Keeping preparation instructions with the ticket is useful for customized orders, and the free plan includes kitchen displays.

Inventory, loyalty and connections

Inventory tools span purchase orders, composite items for prepared goods and their ingredients, transfers between locations, stock counts and corrections. Those functions offer a practical stock workflow, but purchase orders and transfers are part of the paid Advanced inventory add-on. Points-based loyalty and customer notes support repeat visits and recorded preferences.

The marketplace includes QuickBooks Online, Xero, WooCommerce, Shopify and Otter for online and delivery orders. The API covers sales analytics, accounting, orders, items and inventory, customers and e-invoicing, giving teams several routes to connect business data. Loyverse Payments uses PCI-compliant infrastructure, and support is available 24/7 via live chat alongside help articles.

Pricing

Loyverse is freemium, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes POS, reports for the last 31 days, essential inventory, loyalty, customer and kitchen displays, multi-store management and integrations. That is a substantial starting point for a small operation; teams that need older reports must add Unlimited sales history.

Loyverse POS: custom pricing; includes 31 days of sales history.
Unlimited sales history: 5.00 USD per month, billed $5/month per store or $50/year per store. It unlocks sales reports beyond the last 31 days, making it the relevant upgrade for longer-term comparisons and exports.
Employee management: 25.00 USD per month, billed $25/month per store or $250/year per store. It adds team performance, permissions and hours worked; the free plan remains an option for businesses that do not need those paid staff tools.
Advanced inventory: 25.00 USD per month, billed $25/month per store or $250/year per store. It adds purchase orders, stock transfers and deeper inventory insights for teams managing stock across more complex workflows.

The add-ons are priced per store, so costs rise with each location. The free plan includes essential inventory and multi-store management, but the paid inventory tier is the one that supplies purchase orders and transfers.

Platforms

Loyverse supports Android, iOS, web and API. Offline mode and employee permissions are supported, and table management and kitchen display are included in the restaurant feature set. This mix is useful for teams needing mobile POS access and connections to other software.

Who it's for

Loyverse is a good fit for small restaurants that want table-ticket handling, kitchen routing, customer loyalty and essential inventory in one POS, especially when avoiding an initial subscription matters. Businesses that need reports older than 31 days, paid employee-management functions or advanced stock workflows should budget for the relevant per-store add-ons. It is less compelling for a restaurant whose requirements extend beyond the listed table order channel.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan combines POS, loyalty, kitchen displays, integrations and multi-store management, giving small teams a broad starting set without a software charge.
Pro: Tickets can be split, merged and moved, while modifiers and kitchen comments carry useful order detail through preparation.
Pro: API and marketplace connections cover common accounting, commerce and delivery services.
Con: Free sales reports stop at 31 days, so longer-range reporting and exports require a per-store add-on.
Con: Purchase orders and stock transfers sit in the $25/month-per-store Advanced inventory tier rather than the free plan.
Con: Employee management is another $25/month per store, making staff performance, permissions and hours a separate budget decision.

Alternatives

Consider FuegoPOS if a free plan with cloud menu management, employee module, split payments and offline mode fits; processing fees apply, and its listed platforms include self-hosted access. Paloma365 is a paid option with a free trial; its Startup plan is 23.00 USD per month, or $20/mo when paid yearly, for one location and workstation with unlimited users and printers. Choose PAYS POS if its $59/month Starter plan's payment processing, reporting, online ordering and takeout, open-order and phone-order support suit your operation.

GoTab may fit teams seeking QR and online ordering, preauthorized tabs and one POS, with its Basic plan priced at $15/mo per location. Lavu is an alternative with paid Insights, Automation and Autopilot plans. Biyo POS offers a free Premium + Processing plan for US businesses, with processing fees. ParcelPOS has a free plan. Zeller offers a free-to-run POS with no monthly subscription or software licence fee, but requires a Zeller Terminal and charges transaction fees.

Verdict

Choose Loyverse if you run a small restaurant that needs core table, kitchen, loyalty and inventory workflows without a starting subscription. Its strongest case is the breadth of the free POS and its integrations; look elsewhere or budget for add-ons if long-term sales reporting, advanced stock operations or paid staff management are essential.
