Overview

Market Dojo is a procurement platform for eSourcing, supplier onboarding and contract management. It suits teams that need configurable sourcing events and supplier engagement in one service. Its broad sourcing toolkit is paired with an API for every user, but the free plan is limited to test suppliers and sustained use can be costly.

Key features

Sourcing and auctions

Teams can run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, build weighted events, collect documents and use advanced pricing tables. Auction formats span open, ranked, Japanese, forward and reverse auctions, with automated features. This range can serve teams with varied buying processes; the higher-tier options matter most when multi-stage events, advanced lots, partial bidding or multi-currency bidding are real requirements.

Questionnaires and supplier onboarding

Questionnaires support multiple question types, weighted questions, tables and document uploads, with generative AI and automatic or manual scoring. That gives procurement teams flexibility in collecting and assessing supplier responses. The dedicated Supplier Onboarding Simple plan includes 500 suppliers and unlimited internal users, so teams with a larger supplier base should account for the additional supplier charge.

Integrations, API and security

Integrations include multi-ERP, Focal Point, Esker, Veridion, Power BI, Microsoft Entra ID, Google SSO, Okta, Spend HQ–PMM and SAML. The RESTful API is available to all users and has live documentation, making it a meaningful option for teams fitting procurement workflows into an existing stack. Market Dojo states that it is ISO 27001 certified and hosts its software on Google Cloud Platform.

Support

Support is available by live chat and email. The support team aims to reply to emails within three hours and resolve queries within eight; live chat is offered on weekdays, typically from 08:45 to 17:00 GMT and CT zones. Those stated targets give teams a concrete service expectation, though live chat is limited to weekday hours.

Pricing

Market Dojo is freemium, with a free Sourcing Starter plan for creating test events and trying the tool as both buyer and supplier. Its test-supplier restriction makes it useful for evaluation, not live sourcing. Paid pricing varies with users, suppliers or contracts; monthly costs may be discounted according to user count and licence duration, and quotes for more than five users require contacting the company.

Simple Sourcing — annual licence costs 500.00 GBP per year (billed £500.00 /month (billed annually)). It covers Simple RFx and eAuctions, templates and libraries, Excel integration and custom fields, user management and live messaging. It is the entry paid choice for teams needing core event tools without collaborative multi-scoring or weighted-event features.

Pro Sourcing — annual licence costs 583.00 GBP per year (billed £583 /month (billed annually)). It adds collaborative multi-scoring, supplier participation, weighted events, API integration and a dedicated account manager. Teams needing those capabilities can justify the step up; for simpler sourcing, the cheaper licence covers the listed core tools.

Advanced Sourcing — annual licence costs 667.00 GBP per year (billed £667 /month (billed annually)). It includes advanced multi-stage RFx and eAuctions, advanced lots, partial bidding and multi-currency events. Advanced analytics and automation require add-ons, so this tier does not include every advanced capability in its base price.

Monthly licences cost 1000.00 GBP per month (billed £1000.00/month (billed monthly)) for Simple Sourcing, 1500.00 GBP per month (billed £1500.00/month (billed monthly)) for Pro Sourcing, and 2000.00 GBP per month (billed £2000.00/month (billed monthly)) for Advanced Sourcing. Each has the same feature scope as its annual counterpart. Single-event access costs 1000.00 GBP per once (billed £1000.00/event (one off payment)) for Simple, 1500.00 GBP per once (billed £1500.00/event (one off payment)) for Pro, and 2000.00 GBP per once (billed £2000.00/event (one off payment)) for Advanced; these options suit a defined event rather than an ongoing licence.

Supplier Onboarding Simple costs 833.33 GBP per year (billed £833.33 /month (billed annually)) and includes 500 suppliers, unlimited internal users, dynamic questionnaires, custom fields and scoring. Each additional 500 suppliers costs £1500 annual. That supplier allowance is a key budgeting limit for larger onboarding programmes.

Platforms

Market Dojo is available on the web and through an API. The API's availability to all users supports integration planning across paid tiers, while the web platform provides the primary application.

Who it's for

Market Dojo is a strong fit for procurement teams that need structured RFx events, multiple auction formats, supplier questionnaires and integration options in one platform. Its supplier onboarding plan may suit teams that want a defined allowance and unlimited internal users. It is less compelling for buyers seeking a genuinely unrestricted free plan or teams whose needs do not warrant the cost of paid event licences.

Pros and cons

Pro: The API is available to all users, supporting integration even for teams not on the highest sourcing tier.
Pro: Multiple auction formats and weighted sourcing events accommodate different procurement approaches.
Pro: Supplier Onboarding Simple pairs 500 suppliers with unlimited internal users.
Con: The free plan is restricted to test suppliers, so it cannot serve as a live sourcing tier.
Con: Advanced analytics and automation require add-ons even on Advanced Sourcing.
Con: Pricing depends on users, suppliers or contracts, and quotes above five users require contacting the company.

Verdict

Market Dojo is best for procurement teams that need flexible sourcing and auction workflows alongside supplier engagement, with an API available across its user base. Its strongest reason to choose is the breadth of event formats and questionnaire tools; its main reason to look elsewhere is the cost and supplier limits that make the free tier unsuitable for live work and can raise the price of larger programmes.
