Overview

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, PushFar serves HR and learning and development teams as well as businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations. Organisations can centrally manage mentoring programmes and cohorts, while individuals can use the free network to find a mentor, become one, or do both. The organisational platform is presented as suitable for programmes from 50 to 50,000 participants, a broad range that may fit teams growing beyond a single department.

PushFar sits within both Mentoring Software and Talent Marketplace Software, though its documented core is mentoring and career progression rather than a general talent marketplace.

Key features

Programme design and matching

Administrators can customise branding, intake questions, approvals, settings and matching rules. AI-assisted matching, administrator decisions and participant self-selection give teams options to balance central oversight with participant choice. Templates and matching workflows provide a repeatable structure, useful for organisations running multiple cohorts; teams that want a single, fixed matching process may have less reason to value that flexibility.

Participant activity and reporting

Participants can set goals, schedule meetings, exchange private messages and use built-in video calling. Reporting covers mentoring activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, so programme owners can follow participation and gather feedback alongside progress. This combination makes PushFar more than a pairing tool, although organisations should assess whether its reporting meets their particular measurement needs.

Integrations, security and support

PushFar documents SSO, calendar syncing, Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrations. It says systems such as Workday can be connected through an account manager, making integration needs beyond those named worth clarifying before purchase. The maker describes GDPR controls, role-based access and two-factor authentication for the administration panel. Organisational customers receive account-based support, onboarding, training and ongoing customer success, which may help teams implementing a centrally managed programme.

Participants can be invited through unique registration links, SSO, CSV files or APIs. Web access and iOS and Android apps give participants several ways to use the service.

Pricing

The Open mentoring network is free for individuals: the plan is 0.00 USD per free and lets people find a mentor, become a mentor, or both. It is aimed at individuals, not organisations seeking programme administration.

The Organisational mentoring platform has custom pricing, with a demo required. Organisations considering it should request a quote and clarify the cost and integration requirements for their programme; no organisational price is provided here for comparison. The two offers serve different audiences, so the free network should not be treated as a no-cost organisational tier.

Platforms

PushFar supports web, Android, iOS and API access. Mobile apps extend participation beyond the web platform, while API access and documented SSO and calendar connections may matter to teams fitting mentoring into an existing stack.

Who it's for

PushFar is a strong candidate for HR and learning and development teams, educational institutions and professional organisations that need configurable matching, cohort administration and activity reporting. Its stated scale range may suit programmes intended to expand across teams. Individuals looking for a mentor can use the separate free network.

It is a less obvious fit for organisations that need a published price to compare vendors, or whose decision depends on a specific system connection beyond the documented integrations. Those teams should establish commercial terms and integration scope before committing.

Pros and cons

Multiple matching routes: AI assistance, administrator matching and self-selection let programme owners choose how much control participants have.
End-to-end participant tools: Goals, meeting scheduling, private messages and video calling support activity within the platform.
Programme oversight: Reporting spans activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, with central administration and cohort management for larger programmes.
Custom organisational pricing: A demo and quote are required, so buyers cannot compare an organisational price upfront.
Some connections require clarification: Workday and other systems may be connected through an account manager rather than being among the named integrations.

Alternatives

For a broader learning platform, Cornerstone Learning is a paid option with a quote based on organisational needs and size; it also supports Android, iOS, web and API access. Talendium Internal Talent Marketplace may suit teams focused on internal talent marketplaces; it is paid, web- and API-based, and asks buyers to book a 30-minute demo.

365Talents is another paid web and API option, with pricing dependent on workforce size, selected modules, integrations and support tier. Choose Clous Internal Mobility if employee experience and internal mobility are the priority: its Employee Experience plan is 9.00 EUR per month, billed per covered employee per month, and a free trial is offered.

Fuel50 Skills Architecture is a paid web and API option with skills-focused plans. For a dedicated mentoring alternative, MentorcliQ offers CliQ Start at 9900.00 USD per year, starting at that price for 100 employees per year. Thrive is a paid web, mobile and API platform whose Thrive Go plan includes mentoring alongside other tools. Mentorloop is another mentoring option; its Pro plan is 299.00 USD per month, starting price, for a simple programme aimed at non-profits and community groups.

Verdict

Choose PushFar if your organisation needs a configurable mentoring programme with several matching approaches, participant communication and reporting under central administration. Its separate free network also gives individuals a straightforward no-cost route to mentoring. The main reason to look elsewhere is commercial and technical uncertainty: organisations need a quote, and teams relying on systems beyond the documented connections should confirm integration scope before deciding.
