Overview

MoveMembers is gym and studio management software that combines membership administration with classes, bookings, payments and member communication. It suits independent fitness businesses that want those operations in one system, especially if they can work within its fixed-payment approach.

Its free tier supports up to 20 active members, while paid plans add capacity and operational tools. The key fit question is whether fixed-length card instalments work for your billing model.

Key features

Class scheduling, online booking, a member portal and self check-in cover common day-to-day studio workflows. Membership and payment tracking are paired with Stripe online payments, while front-desk point-of-sale sales are included on Max. QR, kiosk, mobile and visitor check-in, along with attendance reports, make it relevant to businesses that need to manage arrivals as well as bookings.

LINE connection and automatic messages are available on Free; Pro adds message templates, group messages, automations and reminders. WhatsApp and SMS are reserved for Max, so teams that rely on those channels need to account for the higher tier. MoveMembers says it supports 10 languages, and offers free migration and data export, both useful when moving an existing membership operation.

One payment constraint deserves particular attention: monthly card instalments stop after a fixed number of payments. MoveMembers does not offer open-ended autopay that continues until cancellation, making it a poor fit for businesses whose memberships depend on that billing arrangement.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free; billed $0 forever	Up to 20 active members, class scheduling, online booking, member portal, self check-in, LINE connection and automatic messages, memberships and Stripe payments.
Pro	99.00 USD per month; billed monthly	Up to 200 active members, message templates and group messages, automations and reminders, reports and insights.
Max	199.00 USD per month; billed monthly	Unlimited active members, white-label and multiple locations, front-desk shop and point of sale, WhatsApp and SMS messaging.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	For more than 3 locations, with multi-brand white-label and a written service-level agreement.

Free is a capable starting point for a small operation that can stay under 20 active members. Pro raises that ceiling to 200 and adds reporting and messaging tools; Max removes the active-member cap and is the relevant option for multiple locations, point of sale or WhatsApp and SMS. There is no free trial, so the forever-free tier is the available way to begin without a paid commitment. Enterprise is aimed at larger, multi-location operators.

Platforms

MoveMembers supports web, Android, iOS and API platforms, giving teams both browser and mobile access alongside an API option.

Who it's for

MoveMembers identifies independent gyms, martial arts and combat sports gyms, CrossFit boxes, boutique fitness, yoga, pilates, dance and climbing studios as its target customers. Its combination of class booking, membership tracking and check-in suits businesses that need to coordinate recurring sessions and member attendance. Free is most appropriate for smaller communities; Pro and Max fit growing or multi-location operations respectively.

The company says that when customers write in, one of the people who wrote the software answers, often the same day. Its privacy policy says passwords are hashed, the service uses HTTPS and access controls, and the company does not sell data. Optional Google Analytics stays off until a visitor accepts analytics cookies.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free plan includes booking, member portal, self check-in, LINE messaging and Stripe payments for up to 20 active members, which gives a small studio substantial core functionality without a subscription.
Pros: Free done-for-you migration and data export reduce friction both when adopting the service and if a business later moves away.
Pros: Max combines unlimited active members, multiple locations, point of sale and WhatsApp/SMS, consolidating several operational needs at one stated monthly price.
Cons: Fixed-length instalments cannot support autopay that continues until cancellation, excluding a common membership billing pattern.
Cons: The free plan's 20-member cap and Pro's 200-member cap can make growth a reason to upgrade, with unlimited capacity reserved for Max.
Cons: WhatsApp and SMS messaging are limited to Max, so businesses needing those channels must budget for the top published plan.

RhinoFit Sign-In Kiosk is another freemium option with a free trial. BJJChat Attendance System is worth considering for a free attendance system with no tiers or per-member fees and unlimited coaches and students.

Kenko QR Check-Ins may suit teams seeking a paid member app with scheduling, memberships, team tasks, permissions and attendance; its Pro plan is 199.00 USD per month. SessionHQ is a web-only paid alternative: its Studio plan is 99.00 AUD per month, incl. GST, billed monthly and cancellable anytime, with unlimited active members and classes at a single location.

Verdict

MoveMembers is a strong fit for independent fitness businesses that want membership, class, booking, payment and check-in workflows together, with a useful free starting tier and clear growth paths. Choose it if its plan limits and fixed-length instalments suit your operation; look elsewhere if your recurring billing requires autopay until cancellation or if you need WhatsApp and SMS below Max.
