Overview

Movista is a retail execution and workforce-management platform for coordinating work across stores and field teams. It is best suited to retailers, consumer-goods companies, service providers and distributors that need execution, inventory and workforce workflows connected; organizations looking only for a narrow checklist tool may find its scope broader than they need.

Its advantage is the combination of mobile tasking, verification and reporting, with optional tools for inventory and operational planning. The trade-off is a customer-specific purchase and the handling of sensitive work and location data.

Key features

Field execution and inventory

Teams can create, assign and validate tasks, schedule work, track time and manage roles. GPS verification, proof of completion, approval workflows and escalations give managers several ways to monitor execution, while offline capability helps field staff keep working when connectivity is limited. Audit checklists, stock updates and in-app item ordering extend the workflow into store conditions and inventory. Item management, shelf ordering and returns are optional modules, so buyers should establish which capabilities are part of their deployment.

The Amp mobile app, available on iOS and Android for Movista customers, supports tasking, reassignments, escalations and individual, group and team communications. Read rates, priority notifications and required-reading acknowledgments help teams track message reach. Real-time dashboards report work completion, performance and stock levels, connecting field activity with desktop oversight.

Planning, AI and integrations

Optional optimization tools use demand, resource, time, availability and skill constraints to plan territories, routes and schedules. That can suit operations coordinating work across many locations, but it is an added module rather than a reason to assume every deployment includes optimization. ShelfCheck AI uses image recognition to help identify shelf conditions and product availability.

Movista names integration areas including payroll, resource planning, expense reporting, payment processing, HR, CRM and business intelligence. Its supported API integrations are RESTful and documented, a useful basis for teams connecting the platform to existing systems. AMP Core is described as secure and designed to integrate with customer systems and AI-based optimizations; the privacy notice says the user's employer determines what personal data is collected and processed. Data may include GPS location, schedules, time and payroll details, and uploaded media. Personal data is retained for the customer contract term and may remain in backup systems for up to 60 days in a non-editable state, so privacy and retention terms merit review during procurement.

Pricing

Movista is paid software with custom pricing. Prospective customers can request or schedule a demo; the purchase is therefore a sales-led fit evaluation rather than a self-serve, price-transparent subscription. Confirm which optional modules, integrations and onboarding are included in the proposed package.

For a narrower field-data workflow, Field2Base Essentials costs 20.00 USD per month, billed at $20 per license per month with a five-license minimum; it includes unlimited form templates and submissions plus photos, GPS, barcodes and signatures. Array Essential costs 30.00 USD per month, billed annually per user, and caps the plan at four users, 500 submissions, 100 public monthly submissions and 1GB of storage. These plans give buyers published entry points, but their stated scope and limits differ from Movista's broader retail execution offering.

Platforms

Movista supports web, iOS, Android and API access. Offline capability is relevant to field teams working in areas with unreliable connectivity. Its documented RESTful API and integration categories may help fit it into an existing stack, though buyers should confirm the specific systems and modules their deployment requires.

Who it's for

Movista is a strong fit for multi-location retail operations and their consumer-goods, service-provider or distribution partners, especially when managers need task execution, workforce coordination, inventory activity and reporting in a connected workflow. It is less compelling for small teams that need only inspections or simple store communications and do not need the broader workforce and integration scope. Movista reports activity across more than 9 million retail locations, 600,000 users worldwide and 26 million completed projects.

Pros and cons

Pro: Tasking, scheduling, timekeeping, validation and reporting sit in one operational workflow, reducing the need to treat field execution and oversight as separate processes.
Pro: Offline mobile work, GPS verification, proof of completion and approvals address practical constraints in distributed store operations.
Pro: Documented REST APIs and named integration categories give technical teams a concrete starting point for stack fit discussions.
Con: Pricing is custom, so buyers cannot compare a published Movista plan price or choose a self-serve tier.
Con: Several capabilities, including optimization and item-management workflows, are optional modules; buyers must scope the package carefully.
Con: The app may process location, schedule, payroll-related and media data, making employer data practices and retention terms material to adoption.

Alternatives

Choose Field2Base when a form-centered field workflow with a published license price is a better fit; its Essentials plan requires five licenses minimum. Array is another option for teams that want a published annual per-user plan with defined user, submission and storage limits.

Bindy is an alternative. GoAudits is an alternative. Zipline is an alternative. Amply is an alternative. ZebraDesigner is an alternative. Wooqer is an alternative.

Verdict

Choose Movista if your retail or field operation needs one platform to coordinate store work, mobile execution and operational reporting, with room to add inventory and optimization modules. Its broad workflow and API support are the case for choosing it; custom pricing, optional-module scoping and location-sensitive data practices are the reasons to compare alternatives before committing.
