Overview

TierBuddy is a browser-based tier-list maker for people who want rankings to travel beyond a single image. It is best suited to creators and community leads who want viewers to build or vote on lists. Its unlimited free-list allowance is compelling, but the conflicting pricing message makes the paid offer harder to assess.

Key features

Lists can mix image and text items, arranged by drag and drop into tiers whose labels, colors, and order can be customized. Image uploads and image URLs support common formats such as PNG and JPG. Unlimited items and lists on the free plan make it viable for frequent list-making; customization helps adapt rankings to different topics rather than forcing one fixed format.

Sharing supports both a link with a rich social preview and embeds as oEmbed cards or iframes. A list can also serve as a template: others reuse its items to make their own version. Live voting gathers audience rankings into a community result, which makes TierBuddy more useful for participation than a static ranking tool.

Anyone can create and share without signing up. A free account adds saving and later editing, upvoting, and collecting rankings. That lowers the barrier for casual use, though people who want to return to their own lists or collect community rankings need an account.

Pricing

The Free plan is 0.00 USD per free, billed Free forever. It includes unlimited tier lists and items, with no ads and no signup requirement. The broad creation allowance is a strong fit for casual users and prolific creators alike; the account-dependent saving, editing, upvoting, and ranking collection are the meaningful distinction for ongoing use.

TierBuddy is marked freemium, with paid plans starting at $5/mo, but the FAQ describes the product as fully free with no paywalls. That leaves the scope and terms of the paid offer unclear. There is no free trial, so buyers should not assume the $5/mo offer adds a particular capability or try it before committing.

Platforms

TierBuddy runs in a web browser on phones, tablets, and desktops, with touch-optimized drag and drop. It fits teams and audiences that can work through a browser, but no native desktop or mobile app is part of the platform offering.

Who it's for

Streamers, YouTubers, and community leads are the clearest audience, particularly gaming and anime creators. Sharing, embeds, reusable templates, and live voting turn a list into an audience activity; a person who only needs a private, one-off ranking may not need those community features. Accepted creators in the seeding program receive complimentary Pro, priority support, and an early access badge.

Pros and cons

Pros: Free forever includes unlimited lists and items, with no ads or signup requirement for creation and sharing.
Pros: Links, social previews, embeds, reusable templates, and live voting support both distribution and audience participation.
Pros: Browser access across phones, tablets, and desktops with touch-optimized editing avoids requiring a particular device type.
Cons: Saving and editing later, upvoting, and collecting rankings require a free account, so fully anonymous use is limited to creating and sharing.
Cons: The $5/mo starting price conflicts with the FAQ's fully-free, no-paywalls description, making it difficult to judge what a paid plan changes.

TierKing is a free web option when PNG export and shareable workflows matter. Pick TierMaker if you need Android, iOS, or macOS alongside web access; it offers a free website plan and a 1.99 USD per month Pro Monthly plan. Verdict

Choose TierBuddy if you are a creator or community lead who wants free, unlimited list-making paired with sharing, embeds, and audience voting. Its main advantage is turning rankings into a participatory format without a signup barrier for basic creation. Look elsewhere if you need a clear paid-plan comparison or a native app; the paid offer's terms are uncertain, and TierBuddy is browser-based.
