Overview

Wizer is a cloud-based security awareness and phishing-simulation platform for organizations. It is best suited to teams that want training, learner administration and phishing exercises in one service, with options to import courses into an existing LMS. The free tier covers basic training, while simulations and more substantial reporting require a paid plan.

Key features

Training and AI content

Wizer covers phishing, ransomware, compliance, GDPR, insider threats, secure code and risks involving AI and deepfakes. WizerAI Studio can turn documents, policies or topics into training videos; separate deepfake awareness content and a real-or-AI challenge address synthetic media directly. Eleven course languages may help organizations with multilingual workforces, though the available facts do not identify those languages.

Phishing and administration

Boost includes adaptive phishing simulations, templates updated monthly and report buttons. Course planning, analytics, automated phishing simulations and developer training assignments give administrators ways to coordinate learning and exercises. Risk scoring and automated training are also supported. This makes Wizer more than a content library, but the Free plan's limited reporting leaves teams with less insight unless they move to Boost.

Integrations and LMS support

Azure AD and Google Workspace support directory provisioning, while Okta and OneLogin provide single sign-on. Zapier offers another integration route, and the admin console provides API documentation and integration-key setup. SCORM packages let organizations import Wizer training into external LMS platforms, including Moodle, SAP Litmos, Docebo and Blackboard. That flexibility is useful for teams that already run an LMS, although Wizer's own course planning and analytics may be less central in that setup.

Security and support

Wizer displays a SOC 2 Type II certification badge and says it uses technical, organizational and security measures to protect personal data. Its listed platform sub-processors include Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and DigitalOcean, with data locations in the USA. Managed Boost includes priority support; Wizer also provides a support contact.

Pricing

Free plan

Wizer Free Plan costs 0.00 USD per free. It includes basic annual security awareness training, basic user management, limited reporting and automatic learner reminder emails. This is a reasonable starting point for organizations that need core training and reminders, but it does not include the Boost phishing-simulation features.

Boost plan

Wizer Boost Plan is 25.00 USD per year, billed per user per year on a 3-year term and billed annually. Volume pricing starts at 25 users: $25 for 25+ users, $20 for 51+, $17 for 101+, $14 for 501+, $12 for 1,001+ and $8 for 3,001+; contact sales for 5,001+ users. One-year pricing is available by request. The term commitment and annual billing matter for buyers comparing the per-user rates, and the lowest stated rate applies only at 3,001+ users. Boost can be tried free for 10 days, including the ability to run a phishing simulation.

Platforms

Wizer supports Android, iOS and web, and provides an API. Its SCORM packages also let organizations use its training through supported external LMS platforms.

Who it's for

Wizer fits organizations seeking a combined awareness-training and phishing-simulation service, especially those that want document-to-video tools, automated exercises or SCORM import into an existing LMS. Free is better suited to teams satisfied with basic training and limited reporting. Buyers needing simulations, monthly refreshed templates, or the paid tier's broader capabilities should consider Boost and account for its 3-year term, or request one-year pricing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Training spans established security topics as well as AI and deepfakes, and WizerAI Studio can turn organizational documents or policies into training videos.
Pros: Boost combines adaptive simulations, monthly updated templates and report buttons with course administration and analytics.
Pros: Directory provisioning, SSO, Zapier, API setup and SCORM packages give teams several ways to fit Wizer into existing systems.
Cons: Free includes only limited reporting and basic user management, so organizations needing simulations must move to Boost.
Cons: Boost's stated per-user rates are tied to a 3-year term and annual billing; one-year pricing requires a request.
Cons: Listed data locations are in the USA, which may not suit organizations requiring other data locations.

Alternatives

For readers comparing products, Security Awareness Training Software and Cybersecurity Training Platforms are relevant categories.

Keepnet Labs is a paid alternative with API, self-hosted and web platforms and monthly-priced plans; consider it when those deployment options or its monthly billing better fit.
LUCY Security offers critical awareness training, phishing simulations and an on-prem deployment option; consider it when on-premises deployment is important.
SentryMail is a freemium, self-hosted and web alternative.
CyberHoot is a freemium web alternative with a free trial.
Hackiwi is a freemium web alternative.
Proofpoint Email DLP and Encryption is a paid alternative for Android, iOS, web and Windows.
DarkPhish is a freemium alternative for web and Linux.
Gophish is a free alternative for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Verdict

Choose Wizer if your organization wants security training and phishing simulations alongside practical LMS and identity integrations, with a free tier for basic needs and Boost for simulations. Its clearest reason to look elsewhere is the paid plan's 3-year commitment and the free plan's limited reporting; teams that need those capabilities without that term should compare other options.
