Overview

IXCloud brings recordings from supported communication platforms into a cloud-hosted repository, rather than requiring customers to deploy and maintain recording servers. That model suits organizations seeking centralized retention and control without operating the underlying infrastructure. Numonix, founded in 2013 and based in Boca Raton, Florida, positions the product for enterprise use where security and compliance requirements shape the choice.

Key features

IXCloud captures audio, Microsoft Teams video and VBSS screen sharing. On-demand Teams recording with PCI muting gives teams a way to capture selected interactions while muting payment-card information. Its rules engine can target recordings by scenario, participant, keywords and other criteria, which is more useful for teams that need selective capture than a simple all-calls approach. Integrations include Microsoft Teams, Avaya and Cisco.

The Azure SaaS service is fully managed and requires no physical or virtual servers for deployment or maintenance. Each tenant includes 1 TB of geo-redundant storage, and customers can store encrypted recordings in their own Azure Blob storage account. That included capacity provides a defined starting allocation; organizations with larger retention needs should assess whether it fits their expected volume.

Role-based access controls, two-factor authentication, 256-bit AES encryption and digital signatures address access protection and recording integrity. Numonix says its ISMS is ISO/IEC 27001-certified and maintains a SOC 2 Type II attestation. It says IXCloud supports HIPAA and GDPR compliance; it does not claim that IXCloud itself is HIPAA-certified.

Searchable archives and consent controls support retrieval and recording governance. An additional-purchase analytics package adds transcription, on-demand AI summaries, sentiment analysis and PII redaction. Transcription is sold in 100-hour increments, so teams should align capacity with their anticipated usage rather than assume it is bundled without limit.

Pricing

IXCloud is paid software with custom pricing. Its plan structure is organized per user per month, but prices are not published:

Enterprise: Teams plus other environments. This is the broadest stated fit for organizations recording across Teams and additional platforms.
Business: Teams PBX. This plan is for Teams PBX deployments that do not need the broader Enterprise scope.
Hybrid: Ex-Teams. This targets non-Teams environments, though the plan label alone does not establish which platforms are included.

Numonix offers a free plan and a free trial. The subscription services agreement describes a 30-day trial unless Numonix extends it in writing. The free plan’s caps and inclusions are not defined by the stated terms, so buyers should confirm its scope before treating it as a production option. Paying customers have a target of at least 99.9% monthly availability under the SLA, subject to conditions and exclusions. SaaS support is included in fees under the ordering document, with support tickets submitted and tracked through Numonix’s portal.

Platforms

IXCloud supports web and API platforms. Its integrations include Microsoft Teams, Avaya, Cisco and other unified communications platforms. The managed Azure deployment is a fit for teams preferring SaaS operations over maintaining physical or virtual recording servers.

Who it's for

IXCloud is strongest for enterprises that need centralized, searchable call capture across a communications stack, especially where rule-based recording and Teams video or screen-sharing capture matter. Its access controls, encryption, integrity features and compliance-oriented posture will matter to regulated organizations, while the option of customer-owned Azure Blob storage may suit teams that want to retain encrypted recordings in their own account.

It is less suited to buyers who need transparent per-seat costs before engaging sales, or who need analytics and transcription included at an unrestricted volume. Smaller teams should also verify whether the plan structure and 1 TB tenant allocation match their scale.

Pros and cons

Pros: Audio, Teams video and screen-sharing capture with configurable rules supports more targeted recording than a single uniform policy.
Pros: Fully managed Azure hosting avoids operating dedicated recording servers, and every tenant includes 1 TB of geo-redundant storage.
Pros: Customer-owned Azure Blob storage, role-based access, two-factor authentication, encryption and digital signatures give teams several stated storage and control options.
Cons: Pricing is custom across all three plans, making direct budget comparison difficult before contacting Numonix.
Cons: Analytics costs extra, and transcription capacity is sold in 100-hour increments, which can complicate forecasting for variable workloads.
Cons: The 30-day trial has a stated term, but the free plan’s limits are not defined, so buyers should confirm what they can evaluate without a paid commitment.

Alternatives

Dubber is worth considering for Teams recording when a buyer wants unlimited, scalable secure storage and flexible monthly or annual subscription plans; IXCloud instead specifies a 1 TB tenant allocation and also offers its own Azure storage option.

Luware Nimbus fits buyers focused on advanced routing, with a published Advanced Routing price of 85.00 USD per month for 25 services or more. IXCloud is the more direct fit when the priority is a centralized recording archive.

AudioCodes Interaction Insights may suit teams seeking hosted voice recording with retention up to 24 months; additional recording add-ons cost extra. IXCloud’s stated scope includes Teams video and screen-sharing capture as well as audio.

Imagicle Call Recording is an option for organizations seeking a cloud plan with an annual fee, automatic updates, elastic storage and ImagicleCare included. IXCloud instead provides a stated 1 TB per tenant and a customer-owned Azure storage option.

MiaRec may appeal to teams seeking a defined entry price: its Essentials plan costs 25.00 USD per month on an annual contract, with a 25-user minimum, three months of storage, 1,500 minutes per user monthly and standard support. IXCloud is better aligned with enterprise buyers prioritizing managed cross-platform capture and rule-based recording over a published entry price.

Smarsh Call Recording and Analytics is another paid recording and analytics option for buyers comparing enterprise offerings.

Eckoh Secure Call Recording is an alternative for buyers considering a self-hosted or web-based secure call-recording product.

Eleveo Call Recording is worth comparing for contact centers seeking tailored pricing, including on-premises, hybrid or SaaS subscription options with support and professional services included.

Verdict

Choose Numonix IXCloud if your enterprise needs managed, centralized recording across communications platforms, especially Teams, and values configurable capture rules, controlled storage and security measures. Its main advantage is the combination of broad capture options and managed Azure hosting; look elsewhere if upfront price clarity or bundled, predictable analytics capacity matters more.
