Overview

Supplier records connect documents, contracts, compliance, sourcing activity and savings, while surfacing supplier status and risk indicators. That joined-up record can help lean teams follow work across procurement processes instead of keeping each thread separate. The trade-off is that useful workflow depth is divided among module-specific paid plans.

Oboloo supports 18 languages, with each user able to choose their own. Optional onboarding and training are free, and a help-centre knowledge base offers another support route. The platform is available on web and through an API.

Key features

Suppliers and sourcing

Supplier management includes onboarding, qualification workflows, document-expiry alerts, performance scorecards and a supplier portal. Sourcing handles RFPs, RFQs and RFIs, with reusable templates, assigned reviewers and weighted supplier scoring. Teams that need reusable and custom RFX templates, questionnaires or weighted scoring should account for Sourcing Plus rather than assume the free core covers that level of evaluation.

Contracts and savings

The searchable contract repository tracks key dates and notice periods, with automated alerts, approvals and an audit history. Contract Plus adds linked contract documentation, custom notifications, approvals, custom fields and tabs. Savings tracking follows initiatives through owners, milestones and forecasts to validation and realisation; Savings Plus adds unlimited milestones, document attachments, approvals and custom fields and tabs. These plans target specific workflow needs, but the separate pricing means teams needing depth across several modules may face several add-on charges.

Integrations and API

Zapier connects oboloo to more than 8,000 apps, including Salesforce, Xero, QuickBooks, Slack, Teams and ChatGPT. The API provides read/write access to supplier, contract, sourcing and savings data, plus real-time event notifications. Keys are scoped to organisation permissions; role-based access controls and two-factor authentication are also documented. This is a meaningful fit for teams connecting procurement data to an existing stack, though the API's coverage is focused on those four data areas.

Pricing

Oboloo uses a freemium model. Free Forever is billed per user, per month and includes all four core modules, unlimited users, and no card or expiry. The free plan is a low-friction way for a team to start, but module-specific paid capabilities are sold separately.

Contract Plus: 10.00 USD per month, billed per month. Adds linked contract documentation, custom notifications, approvals, custom fields and tabs.
Savings Plus: 20.00 USD per month, billed per month. Adds unlimited milestones, document attachments, approvals, custom fields and tabs.
Sourcing Plus: 25.00 USD per month, billed per month. Adds reusable and custom RFX templates, questionnaires, weighted scoring and custom fields.
Supplier Plus: 28.00 USD per month, billed per month. Adds supplier compliance, onboarding, documentation requests, custom fields and tabs.

The 14-day trial of advanced features automatically continues on Free Forever afterward. That gives teams a defined period to assess the expanded capabilities without a card or expiry commitment for the free plan. No seat cap applies to Free Forever; the paid plans are presented as module add-ons rather than a single bundled tier.

Platforms

Oboloo runs on the web and offers an API. Its Zapier connections provide a route into many existing applications, while the API supports read/write data access and event notifications for its supplier, contract, sourcing and savings domains.

Who it's for

Oboloo fits SMEs, charities and lean teams that want supplier records tied to sourcing, contracts and savings in one place, especially when they value a free plan and need to connect procurement data to other apps. It is less compelling for a team that needs multiple advanced modules but wants one bundled paid plan, or whose requirements fall outside the API's four supported data areas.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan includes all four core modules and unlimited users, so a team can begin without a seat ceiling or expiring free access.
Pro: Supplier records connect compliance, contracts, sourcing and savings, giving teams a shared view of supplier work.
Pro: Read/write API access, real-time event notifications and broad Zapier connectivity support integration with an existing stack.
Con: Advanced capabilities are split across four separately priced monthly plans, which can make a multi-module workflow more costly than the free starting point suggests.
Con: The trial lasts 14 days before continuing on Free Forever, so teams should evaluate advanced workflows within that window.

Alternatives

For a broader supplier-software shortlist, start with Supplier Management Software. Choose Epicor Kinetic if you need an option spanning Android, iOS, self-hosted, web and Windows as well as API access, with cloud packages and concurrent-user licensing. Market Dojo is another freemium, web-and-API option; its Simple Sourcing annual licence is 500.00 GBP per year and includes Simple RFx and eAuctions, templates and libraries, Excel integration and custom fields.

Esker Accounts Payable Automation is a paid alternative without a free plan or trial, with Android, iOS, web and API platforms. Procbay Supplier Lifecycle Management is a paid, web-and-API option without a free plan. Supplios is paid, offers a free trial and supports self-hosting; its Basic plan starts at 1000.00 USD per month. Zoho Procurement is paid, has a free trial and supports mobile, web and API access; its Premium plan is 35.00 USD per year, billed per user/month annually. Basware offers a paid subscription tailored to organizational size and requirements. Gatekeeper is another paid option with API access and a Pro plan that includes up to 250 third parties, unlimited contracts and users, unlimited eSign licences and senders, two best-practice workflows and one custom workflow.

Verdict

Oboloo is a strong starting choice for a lean team that wants supplier, sourcing, contract and savings work connected without an upfront free-plan seat cap. Its API and Zapier reach help it fit into an existing stack. Look elsewhere if your team needs advanced capabilities across several modules but would rather buy them in one bundled plan.
