Overview

OfficialTMS is a transportation management platform for trucking businesses that want dispatch, paperwork, driver operations, and fleet workflows under one roof. It will suit owner-operators and teams seeking a shared web portal, with an optional mobile app for drivers. The free portal makes it possible to start without a subscription, but the paid plan’s per-vehicle pricing and backup terms shape the longer-term decision.

Key features

AI load creation reads emailed rate confirmations or PDFs, extracts load details, and prepares a draft for review before dispatch. That can reduce manual entry while preserving a human approval step. The web dispatch board also organizes confirmations, proof of delivery, customer paperwork, and invoice workflows, making the platform more useful to teams that want load coordination connected to back-office tasks than to those seeking dispatch alone.

The driver app brings together trip details, document uploads, payroll tracking, notifications, and communication with dispatch. Fleet modules cover maintenance, driver expenses, compliance and ELD, and multi-stop routing. OfficialTMS says it can sync Samsara ELD, GPS, hours-of-service logs, and vehicle data, and offers a Telegram bot for sending Samsara alerts to drivers. Enterprise includes custom ERP and TMS integrations; the company also supports integrations with popular ERP, accounting, and logistics systems.

The vendor claims SOC 2 certification and describes encrypted workflows, private operational data, and role-based access. It advertises 24/7 support, with phone, email, and WhatsApp contact options. These are relevant assurances for teams centralizing operational records, though the breadth of the feature set makes it important to confirm that the workflows match the operation’s needs.

Pricing

Portal Only costs 0.00 USD per month and includes full web portal access, 1-year rolling data backup, and 24/7 support. It is the sensible starting point for teams that can work through the portal and do not need the paid mobile-app plan. Its backup coverage is rolling rather than the five-year backup included with annual mobile-app billing.

With Mobile App costs 17.00 USD per month billed annually, or $20/mo if monthly. Pricing is per truck or trailer; extra trailers beyond the truck count cost $8/trailer/mo annually ($10 monthly). The plan includes unlimited portal users and five-year backup free with annual billing. This structure can fit teams that need driver app access across a fleet, but the vehicle-based charge means the total rises with fleet size. Monthly billing also carries a shorter backup provision: extended backup is $5/month with monthly billing.

Enterprise has custom pricing for multi-terminal carriers, freight brokers, and larger teams. It adds custom modifications and integrations and a dedicated account manager, making it the relevant tier for operations that need tailored systems or support rather than a fixed vehicle-based plan. A 30-day trial is available.

Platforms

OfficialTMS supports web, Android, iOS, and an API. That combination spans office workflows and driver mobility, though teams should weigh the mobile app against its per-truck-or-trailer pricing.

Who it's for

Owner-operators and small or mid-sized trucking companies can start with the free portal, while dispatch teams can use the board and document workflows to keep load coordination together. Larger multi-branch carriers and brokers may have a case for Enterprise if custom modifications, integrations, or a dedicated account manager are priorities. It is a weaker fit for organizations whose needs center on field-service scheduling rather than trucking operations.

Pros and cons

Pros: AI-assisted load drafting from confirmations and PDFs can reduce repeated data entry without bypassing review.
Pros: Dispatch, document handling, invoicing workflows, driver operations, and fleet modules sit in one platform.
Pros: The free portal includes full web access and 24/7 support, offering a low-cost way to begin.
Cons: The mobile-app plan is priced per truck or trailer, so larger fleets may face rising costs.
Cons: Annual mobile-app billing includes five-year backup, while Portal Only has one-year rolling backup; monthly billing may require an extra $5/month for extended backup.

Alternatives

Dispatch Management Software is a broader category to explore when comparing dispatch tools.

Choose Resgrid instead if a free plan with up to 10 entities and push notifications or email is a better match; its free tier is limited to US-West/North America and excludes SMS. BigChange is another paid option, with plans that include CRM, job scheduling, mobile app, live tracking, quotes and invoices, business intelligence, and collaboration. Fieldpoint is a paid field-service management alternative. Infor Learning Management System is a paid option for teams seeking a learning management system. Skedulo is worth considering for schedulers needing resource assignment, dispatching, leave management, and calendar, Gantt, or map views. ServiceM8 offers a free plan capped at one user and 30 jobs per month, suited to very small service operations. ServicePower is a freemium alternative with employed- and contracted-workforce plans. ServiceTrade offers paid plans with office users, technician mobile apps, dispatch and map scheduling, and service and job tracking.

Verdict

OfficialTMS is a strong fit for trucking operators who want dispatch, driver, document, and fleet workflows connected, especially if AI load drafting and Samsara sync align with their operation. The free portal is its clearest entry point; look elsewhere or compare costs carefully if mobile-app access across many vehicles or longer backup on monthly billing is central to the decision.
