Overview

Onstipe can combine posts from Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Vimeo, Giphy, RSS and Flickr. Teams can approve posts manually or use rules and a profanity filter to remove unwanted content. That makes it useful when a public-facing wall needs curation, though automated filtering does not remove the need for human oversight.

Walls can be embedded on websites or shown on screens through a social-wall URL. Onstipe says its widgets work with WordPress, Shopify, Drupal, Wix, Squarespace and Blogger, giving site teams several routes to display the same kind of content. Calls to action and shoppable user-generated content can connect a wall to a commercial purpose; performance reports include information about active users or influencers.

Key features

Layouts, color and font controls, banners, tickers, backgrounds and custom CSS provide meaningful control over presentation. That range is useful for teams aligning a wall with a brand or event screen, but it is less compelling for a simple feed embed that needs little customization.

The API provides access to social posts in XML and JSON, a practical fit for teams that want to work with post data beyond the standard wall display. Onstipe also offers digital signage alongside website embedding, so one service can cover both placements. Its privacy policy says it encrypts information in transit with SSL, while cautioning that it cannot guarantee complete security of transmitted or stored information. It supports GDPR, has appointed a Data Protection Officer, and allows users to request access, updates or deletion of their information.

Pricing

Onstipe offers a 14-day free trial without requiring a credit card, and a Free Forever plan. That plan allows 2 stipes and 2 sources, limited to Facebook and Instagram, with no tweets and 24-hour updates. It is a constrained starting point for a low-volume wall, not a fit for broader source coverage or frequent refreshes.

The Nano, Plus, Starter, Economy and Business plans each show 1.00 USD per month. Nano provides 2 stipes, 2 sources, no tweets and 4-hour updates. Starter keeps 2 stipes and no tweets but raises sources to 4 and updates to hourly. Plus allows 3 stipes, 6 sources, 500 tweets per month and hourly updates. Economy expands that to 5 stipes, 10 sources, 1,000 tweets monthly and 30-minute updates; Business offers 8 stipes, 16 sources, 2,000 tweets monthly and 15-minute updates. The similar displayed price makes their differing quotas the key distinction, but the billing interval is unspecified, so the monthly figure alone does not settle the payment term.

Micro Event costs 29.00 USD per once as a one-time payment, with 2 stipes, 2 sources, 500 tweets and 5-minute updates. It suits a short event needing faster refreshes than the recurring low-cost tiers. Gold at 99.00 USD per month offers 2 stipes, 4 sources and 15-minute updates; Platinum at 149.00 USD per month provides 4 stipes, 8 sources and 10-minute updates; Diamond at 249.00 USD per month reaches 10 stipes, 15 sources and 5-minute updates. Those tiers trade higher prices for more walls and sources and shorter update intervals. Page views, retained posts, screens, support levels and other per-plan limits also matter when matching a tier to a deployment. A plan without a published price is custom pricing.

Platforms

Onstipe supports web and API use. Its wall URL and embeds suit websites and digital screens, while the API's XML and JSON access is relevant to teams integrating social posts into their own workflows.

Who it's for

Onstipe is a reasonable fit for event organizers and site teams that need to gather multiple sources, curate public content and present it across web and screen placements. Its styling, calls to action and shoppable content also suit teams treating a wall as part of a campaign. Teams that need predictable billing, high update frequency or substantial quotas should compare exact plan caps and terms before committing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Manual review plus rules and profanity filtering give teams more control over public posts than an unmoderated feed.
Pro: Website embeds, a screen URL, digital signage and styling controls support varied display setups.
Pro: XML and JSON API access offers a path beyond the built-in wall presentation.
Con: Free Forever is limited to Facebook and Instagram, two sources and 24-hour updates, restricting its usefulness for broader or timely walls.
Con: Tweet allowances and update intervals vary substantially by plan, so higher-volume or faster-refresh needs can push a team into a different tier.
Con: Several plans display the same 1.00 USD monthly price while their billing interval is unspecified, making cost comparisons less straightforward.

Alternatives

For another freemium web and API option, EmbedSocial starts with a free plan limited to one source and 500 monthly views, while its Pro plan is priced at 29.00 EUR per month. SociableKIT Social Feed Widget offers a free tier with one source, one widget, one domain and up to 2,000 monthly views, but uses manual sync and SociableKIT branding; that may suit a small, low-cost embed better than Onstipe's broader wall and signage setup.

Tagembed is another freemium web and API choice: its free plan allows one feed and 500 monthly views but refreshes every four days, making it less suitable where Onstipe's faster paid update intervals matter. Taggbox has a free plan with one feed, 500 monthly views, updates every four days and manual moderation; it is worth comparing for a basic feed, while Onstipe has shorter refresh options and automatic filtering.

Flockler is a paid alternative with no free plan; its Basic plan costs 110.00 USD per month billed annually and includes 8 feeds, 10+ platforms, unlimited layouts, page views and users, plus chat and email support. It may suit teams that value those stated allowances and support, while Onstipe offers a free tier and lower-priced plans. FeedWind is another freemium option for readers to compare.

Common Ninja Form Builder is a freemium web product rather than a direct social-wall substitute. Flow-Flow Social Streams offers a free WordPress version with four sources and a Masonry layout, which may suit WordPress teams who prefer that source and layout combination.

Verdict

Choose Onstipe when a team needs to curate posts from several sources and present them across websites or digital screens, with styling and API access in the same product. The main reason to look elsewhere is the uncertainty around billing terms and the need to verify quotas for sources, views, screens and update speed against the intended setup.
