Overview

PandaCue brings operational work together around client appointments: online scheduling, a shared client inbox, a website builder, payments, and live business reports. That breadth is useful for salons and wellness businesses that want fewer separate tools for daily operations. Its fit is less complete for teams seeking payroll execution, since tax filings and direct deposits remain with an outside payroll provider.

The product is available on Android, iOS, and web, and exposes an API. Mobile experiences are aimed at owners and managers, staff, and clients, covering schedules, client records, payments, reports, and appointment management. The privacy policy identifies CodeSol Technologies as operator and distinguishes its controller role for account data from its processor role for business customer content.

Key features

Booking and client communication

Online booking supports 24/7 scheduling, customizable booking widgets, deposits, staff schedules, and automated waitlists. Deposits can help businesses collect payment commitments at booking, while waitlists offer a way to handle openings; the combination is relevant to appointment-led services with changing staff availability.

The unified inbox brings Instagram DMs, Facebook messages, SMS, and email into a single thread per client. Keeping those conversations together can help staff maintain context across channels, rather than switching among separate message streams.

Web presence and payments

The website builder provides premium templates, digital intake forms that sync to client profiles, and built-in SEO. Intake forms connected to profiles can keep client information alongside service records, while the templates and SEO features make this more than a booking widget alone.

Payments combine card processing, deposits, retail sales, tips, gift cards, and financial reporting. Stripe handles card numbers, and PandaCue says it does not store full card numbers on its servers. Commission tracking and tip calculation are supported, but these functions do not turn PandaCue into a payroll processor.

Reporting, integrations, and payroll boundary

Reports cover appointments, sales, clients, staff activity, and business performance, and update as activity occurs. This gives operators a current view of activity across several parts of the business, rather than reports limited to bookings or sales alone.

Listed integrations include Facebook, Google Business Profile, Instagram, Pinterest, Stripe, TikTok, and WhatsApp. PandaCue includes its integration fees for all customers, though third-party subscriptions may cost extra. It organizes payroll data and offers payroll reports, but does not handle tax filing or direct deposit and does not replace the provider that runs pay.

For account and service security, PandaCue describes TLS for standard web and API access, hashed passwords and refresh tokens, encrypted integration credentials at rest, role-based access controls, and rate limiting for sensitive authentication and OTP endpoints. Its privacy policy says Customer Content is not used to train public foundation models unless PandaCue discloses a separate AI feature and obtains the required rights.

Pricing

PandaCue uses paid, custom pricing, so teams need to request a quote rather than compare published plan prices or seat and usage caps. The homepage advertises a 7-day free trial, which provides a short evaluation window before committing; a trial does not resolve the cost question for longer-term budgeting.

Integration fees are included for all customers, but subscriptions to connected third-party services may add expense. Businesses comparing total operating cost should account for those external subscriptions as well as PandaCue’s custom quote.

Platforms

PandaCue supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Its mobile experiences cover owners and managers, staff, and clients, which suits teams where appointments and records need to be accessible away from a desktop. API availability may matter to operators fitting the product into an existing stack.

Who it's for

PandaCue names hair salons, med spas, IV therapy providers, skincare and massage studios, nail salons, barbershops, wellness centers, and other beauty businesses as target users. It is most compelling for appointment-based operators who want scheduling, client messaging, payments, and reporting connected. Businesses that need their management platform itself to file taxes or send payroll deposits should pair it with a payroll provider or choose a different payroll solution.

The Learning Center offers step-by-step articles, videos, and FAQ answers for owners, managers, service providers, and front desk staff. That role-spanning material is useful for organizations where several kinds of staff need to learn the same operating system.

Pros and cons

Pros: Booking combines deposits, staff schedules, customizable widgets, and automated waitlists, covering several practical appointment workflows in one place.
Pros: A client inbox consolidates four named channels, reducing the need to follow client conversations across separate apps.
Pros: Payments span services, retail, tips, and gift cards, with commission tracking and tip calculation supporting salon-specific operations.
Pros: Integration fees are included, and the API plus Android, iOS, and web support gives teams multiple ways to connect or access the system.
Cons: Custom pricing makes it difficult to assess cost before an inquiry, and the 7-day trial is a short period for evaluating a full operational change.
Cons: Payroll reports and data organization stop short of tax filing and direct deposit, so businesses still need a provider to execute payroll.
Cons: Connected services may carry their own subscription costs, so included integration fees do not guarantee that every connection is cost-free.

Alternatives

For a salon or spa operator comparing broader paid platforms, Meevo has paid plans with listed limits including five users and 2,500 email contacts on Lite; its Essentials plan is also available without a published price in the supplied comparison. Phorest is another paid option, with Starter and Grow plans described as allowing unlimited devices and staff, though it has no free trial.

Altegio is worth comparing when a published monthly price matters: its one-month subscription is 7490.00 HUF per month for team members, with VAT excluded, and it offers a free trial. For a solo practitioner who wants a stated price and a package including online booking, forms, payments/POS, subscriptions, messaging, and calendar sync, PocketSuite Premium costs 49.99 USD per month.

Teams seeking a free entry point can compare Pronto, whose free plan is capped at one staff member, 100 clients, 50 bookings per month, and 100 products. Salonist also has a free marketplace-listing plan capped at 50 appointments per month, alongside a 59.00 USD per month Essential plan.

DaySmart Salon offers a 29.00 USD per month Basic plan for one user with online booking, appointment confirmations, social booking, and payments, making its published starting point easier to budget against PandaCue’s custom pricing. GlossGenius Standard costs 28.00 USD per month and includes a custom booking website, unlimited client notifications, email and text marketing, and inventory and retail features.

Verdict

PandaCue is a strong candidate for beauty and wellness businesses that want booking, messaging, payments, and reporting tied to the same client operation, with mobile access and an API for stack fit. Choose it for that operational breadth and included integration fees; look elsewhere or budget for a separate provider if payroll execution is essential, and request pricing before treating it as a fit for a fixed software budget.
