Overview

PIXID VMS is a vendor management system for companies coordinating temporary and extended workforces with staffing agencies and MSPs. Core suits teams that need a shared home for routine staffing transactions; Pro is the broader fit for programs spanning staff augmentation and services procurement. Its range of connected workflows is a strength, but custom pricing means buyers must request a demo before weighing cost against scope.

Pixid was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Courbevoie, France. The maker now presents VectorVMS as Pixid VMS Pro, alongside Pixid VMS Core.

Key features

Core and Pro workflows

Core brings companies and staffing agencies together to manage orders, timesheets, and invoices. Process automation, compliance tracking, structured talent pools, AI-assisted matching, and shared live program metrics extend that core workflow. It is a sensible fit when the main goal is coordinating temporary-worker administration between organizations; teams needing supplier contracts or broader services procurement should look at Pro.

Pro handles requisitions, contracts, timesheets, and invoices for suppliers in one system of record, with coverage for staff augmentation, services procurement, and extended workforce management. Candidate matching assisted by AI, interactive dashboards, real-time reporting, and customizable analytics can support teams overseeing activity across agencies and locations. Organizations that need only order and time administration may find this breadth unnecessary.

Integration, security, and support

Pro connects with HR platforms, procurement tools, and payroll systems and synchronizes records automatically. The open API can also connect with existing ATS or back-office systems, making the product more relevant to teams that need workforce workflows to fit an established stack. API access is supported, but no particular connector or integration depth is described.

Security and compliance credentials include ISO 27001 and 27701, SOC 1 and SOC 2, and encryption in transit and at rest. Pixid states US data residency, and Pro lists WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility compliance. Trust Center materials cover GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and SOC 2 Type 2, with access available by request. Pixid describes a dedicated project team, account-aware human support, and continued platform reconfiguration as programs grow; that service model may suit complex rollouts, though it does not replace a clear view of commercial terms.

Pricing

Both Pixid VMS Core and Pixid VMS Pro have custom pricing, with prospective customers directed to request a demo. No plan price, seat limit, quota, trial period, or renewal term is stated, so teams cannot compare total cost from a public rate card. Core is the narrower option for orders, timesheets, and invoices; Pro adds supplier requisitions and contracts, staff augmentation and services procurement coverage, and richer reporting and analytics. Buyers should assess which scope their program needs during the demo rather than assume the two are interchangeable tiers.

Platforms

PIXID VMS supports web, iOS, and Android, with API connectivity for integration into existing systems. The combination suits teams that need browser-based program administration alongside mobile access, while API support matters to organizations connecting workforce data with ATS, HR, procurement, or back-office tools.

Who it's for

Core is aimed at companies managing temporary workers and the staffing agencies placing them. Pro is positioned for companies and MSPs running contingent workforce programs across multiple locations and agencies, particularly where staff augmentation or services procurement belongs alongside temporary staffing. Teams seeking a contractor-only payment tool or a narrow standalone time-capture app should compare the workflow they actually need before choosing a VMS.

Pros and cons

Broad workflow coverage: Core combines orders, timesheets, and invoices, while Pro adds requisitions, contracts, staff augmentation, and services procurement.
Integration options: API connectivity and links with HR, procurement, payroll, ATS, and back-office systems can help keep workforce administration within an existing stack.
Useful program visibility: Shared live metrics in Core and real-time reporting with customizable analytics in Pro support oversight across workforce programs.
Strong stated controls: Security certifications, encryption, US data residency, and accessibility compliance are relevant for organizations with formal operational requirements.
Upfront cost is opaque: Both offerings require a demo for pricing, making initial budget comparison harder.
Scope may exceed a simple program: Pro's broader supplier and services workflows are less compelling for teams that only need basic temporary staffing administration.

Alternatives

Contingent Workforce Management Software is a useful category comparison for buyers who want to evaluate a wider set of workforce-management options.

Consider FlentisPRO if a supplier-funded model with no added financial burden for the organization is a priority; its pricing is custom and tailored to business needs. Flextrack is another paid, API- and web-supported alternative to compare.

Pactos may suit teams focused on vendor intelligence: its pricing is quoted by transaction volume and selected modules, with a monthly minimum and no annual quota. WorkMarket is worth considering for companies engaging at least 10 independent contractors per month that have a US entity.

Worksome may fit teams managing contractors that prefer either spend-based pricing or a flat annual subscription; its Core Platform has unlimited seats and no per-contractor licenses. YunoJuno Contractor Payments offers custom-priced options for teams managing their own contractor network and for enterprises needing its enterprise offering.

Ringo may be a fit for healthcare organizations seeking supplier-funded VMS pricing with no capital outlay. Outerscore is an alternative with custom VMS pricing, typically 0.2% to 0.8% of managed spend or a flat annual SaaS subscription.

Verdict

PIXID VMS is a strong candidate for companies and MSPs coordinating staffing agencies across temporary and extended workforce programs, especially when API-connected workflows, compliance tracking, and program reporting matter. Choose Core for shared orders, time, and invoicing; choose Pro when supplier contracts, staff augmentation, services procurement, and richer analytics are part of the operating model. Look elsewhere if public pricing is essential to shortlisting or if the program needs only a narrow contractor workflow.
