Overview

Redo is a post-purchase platform for ecommerce merchants, with returns and order editing at its center. It suits Shopify stores seeking to combine several after-checkout workflows, though its usage-priced services and support terms warrant a close fit check.

Beyond returns, Redo covers exchanges, warranties, order tracking and customer communication, alongside claims, shipping and fulfilment, checkout optimization, upselling and revenue recovery. Its breadth may help a merchant bring multiple post-purchase jobs into one platform; stores needing only a narrow returns tool may find that breadth less useful. Redo says it serves more than 4,500 brands.

Its service terms require merchants to operate a Shopify-enabled online store and hold a valid Shopify account. The platform is cloud-based and may include downloadable apps, APIs and websites.

Key features

Returns: Redo combines a self-serve portal, exchange workflows, return-label support, automated refunds, inspection workflows and warehouse routing. The returns offering also includes real-time analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. That makes it broader than a portal alone, though label-cost coverage applies to the returns offering rather than establishing a single price for the full suite.
Order editing: Shopify shoppers can change variants, addresses, items or discount codes, or cancel orders. Redo says this tool has no monthly fee, per-order charge or feature gates, a useful option for merchants who want post-purchase changes without adding a metered editing cost.
Other workflows: The suite includes claims and warranties, order tracking, checkout optimization, one-click upsells, contextual targeting and revenue recovery. These address distinct jobs, but merchants should assess each service’s billing basis rather than assume they are all covered by the free returns portal.
Integrations: Redo lists Shopify, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, plus Gorgias, Klaviyo, Recharge, Tapcart, Vajro and carriers including FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and Australia Post. This gives merchants options across commerce, customer engagement and shipping; the named integrations do not establish compatibility with every stack.
Security: Redo states that it is SOC 2 compliant, audited annually by an independent third party and penetration-tested each year. It says data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256, and that payment details are handled by third-party integrations rather than stored as Redo card data.

Pricing

Redo uses a freemium model, with a free plan and paid pricing from $0.40. The plans span several separate services, and their billing units matter: a low starting price is not a flat subscription for the whole platform.

Email & SMS — 0.00 USD per month, billed per send: Includes add-to-cart email capability, an AI email and SMS builder, monthly AI personas and real-time analytics. The per-send charge means merchants should account for message volume.
Claims — 0.00 USD per free: Includes a free claim portal, analytics, fraud detection and a choice of revenue share or full revenue options. This is a low-entry point for claims, with the revenue arrangement relevant to the eventual cost.
Shipping & Fulfilment — 0.00 USD per free: Includes order management software, analytics and cash back on orders shipped. It may suit stores seeking fulfilment tools, though the cash-back element is tied to shipped orders.
Warranties — 0.00 USD per free: Includes a claim portal, registration form, analytics and automated email capture. It supports warranty intake without an upfront listed fee.
Contextual — 0.00 USD per month, billed per session: Includes anonymous visitor identity resolution, abandonment flows for Klaviyo, Attentive and Postscript, server-side events and Meta CAPI enrichment. Session-based billing makes traffic volume central to evaluating the cost.
Returns — 0.00 USD per free: Includes a free return portal, analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. Its free entry is compelling for returns, but does not mean every Redo product is free.
One click upsell — 0.06 USD per month, billed per order: Includes recommendations, continuous A/B testing, analytics and the ability to add to the current order. It fits merchants who want order-level upsells; volume drives the bill.
Order tracking — 0.08 USD per month, billed per tracked order: Includes 23 transactional triggers, a dedicated tracking page, tracked return shipments and analytics. It is aimed at stores wanting a dedicated tracking experience, with each tracked order part of the pricing basis.
Checkout optimization — 0.40 USD per month, billed per order: Includes audience segmentation, continuous A/B testing, analytics and shipping-offer optimization. It targets stores optimizing checkout offers, but the per-order charge can scale with order volume.
Recover — 10.00 USD per month, billed percentage of recovered revenue: Includes a four-step recovery process and live human conversations, with payment only for results. The recovered-revenue basis is more relevant than the headline monthly figure when estimating cost.

A free trial is offered. No seat or volume caps are stated for these plans, so merchants should confirm applicable terms before relying on a particular allowance.

Platforms

Redo supports API, iOS and web. Its stated Shopify-enabled-store eligibility makes the service a fit to assess for Shopify merchants; businesses without a valid Shopify account do not meet its merchant terms.

Who it's for

Redo is best suited to Shopify merchants that want returns, order changes and other post-purchase workflows in one place, particularly those interested in the free returns and order-editing offerings. It is less compelling for businesses that cannot meet the Shopify eligibility requirement, need a narrow tool without adjacent services, or require a guaranteed support commitment: Redo’s merchant terms say it has no obligation to provide technical or other support, though it may offer support under applicable policies.

Pros and cons

Pro: The returns offering combines portal, analytics, label-cost coverage and AI agents, with additional refund, inspection, exchange and routing workflows.
Pro: Shopify order editing is free of monthly fees, per-order charges and feature gates, reducing cost friction for merchants offering order changes.
Pro: Integrations span commerce platforms, customer tools and major carriers, supporting varied parts of the post-purchase stack.
Con: Merchant eligibility requires both a Shopify-enabled store and a valid Shopify account, ruling out some ecommerce setups.
Con: Several paid services charge per send, session, order, tracked order or recovered revenue, so total spend depends on activity and service mix.
Con: The merchant terms do not obligate Redo to provide support, which may not suit teams that require assured technical assistance.

Alternatives

ZigZag Global may suit UK-based retailers seeking UK domestic returns with unlimited returns on its free plan, while carrier charges apply.
At Last is another option to compare for returns workflows.
Loop Returns may suit stores focused on US and Canada domestic return labels and Return Bars® through its free Checkout+ plan.
PostCo Returns is worth comparing for merchants seeking unlimited returns, order edits and upsells through Checkout+, which must be enabled.
ReturnPro may suit Shopify sellers who want a free connector with up to 1,000 returns per month and five users, with additional users priced at $10 each.
CWILL Product Reviews is an alternative for teams seeking review requests and product-review widgets rather than a post-purchase returns suite.
Return Rabbit may suit merchants whose priority is an annual plan with a stated 1,200 annual returns allowance and bring-your-own-carrier arrangement.
Return Prime is another returns platform to compare.

Verdict

Choose Redo if you run a Shopify-enabled store and want a broad post-purchase platform, especially its free returns portal and no-fee order editing. Look elsewhere if Shopify eligibility is a blocker, you need a guaranteed support obligation, or usage-based charges across separate services do not fit your cost model.
