Overview

Retailgrid brings sales, costs, inventory, competitor prices and external signals into a spreadsheet-style workspace. That gives pricing teams a shared view of inputs that can shape decisions, rather than a tool focused only on competitor checks. It is aimed at mid-market retailers, so its row limits and paid-plan costs may be difficult to justify for small catalogs or occasional pricing work.

Key features

Rules and optimization

Rules-Based Pricing applies margin, competitor and minimum advertised price (MAP) rules across a catalog. The Price Optimization agent seeks prices that maximize margin or volume within configured constraints. Retailgrid also supports promotion and markdown optimization, price-elasticity analysis and continuous optimization. These capabilities suit teams that manage prices as an ongoing discipline, but the free and Starter plans include no agents; Core Agents start at Growth.

Data connections and imports

Native connections include Shopify and Magento, and the integrations page also names BigCommerce and WooCommerce. Listed marketplace and price sources include Amazon via SP-API, eBay, bol., Google Shopping, Idealo and PriceRunner. For systems outside those connections, teams can bring in catalog, cost and sales data by CSV upload or API. That import route offers flexibility, though teams relying on manual files should account for the work of keeping data current.

Competitor monitoring and security

Competitor monitoring is an add-on rather than an included assumption: direct competitor domains cost €100-€300 per month each, depending on site complexity. That can make the platform’s total cost climb for retailers tracking many rivals. Retailgrid says customer data is hosted on Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure in European regions, encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access. It processes personal data in line with GDPR; ISO 27001 and SOC 2 work is underway, and it holds neither certification yet.

Pricing

Retailgrid uses a freemium model, with paid plans beginning at €349/mo. The free Freemium plan costs €0 per month and allows up to 500 grid rows, manual data import and seven-day retention, but no agents. It is useful for a small-scale evaluation, not an operating tier for teams that need automated optimization or longer history.

Starter costs €349 per month and raises the limit to 10,000 rows, adds the Retailgrid API and AI Chat support, and extends retention to 30 days. It still has no agents, so teams seeking automated price recommendations need to move up. Growth costs €1,999 per month for up to 50,000 rows, Core Agents, API access, human chat and video calls, and 365-day retention. This is the first plan with agents and is the practical tier for retailers that need ongoing optimization and a year of history.

Enterprise has custom pricing and supports up to 1,000,000 rows, all agents, API plus custom integration, a dedicated customer success manager and 730-day retention. It fits larger operations that need expanded capacity and integration support. Retailgrid says onboarding and support are included with paid plans, with no separate implementation fee. Competitor-domain charges are separate from plan prices.

Platforms

Retailgrid is available on web and through an API. That combination suits teams that want a workspace for pricing work as well as a programmatic path to connect systems.

Who it's for

Retailgrid targets mid-market retailers in fashion, home and living, food and beverage, electronics, hardware and DIY, auto parts, and health and beauty. It is strongest for teams managing sizable catalogs with rules and optimization needs. A small retailer needing only a few competitor checks may find the row-based plans and per-domain monitoring cost disproportionate.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines retail inputs, pricing rules and optimization in one workspace, which helps teams weigh costs, stock and competitor prices together.
Pros: Native connections, listed marketplace sources, CSV upload and API provide several ways to bring retail data in.
Pros: Paid-plan onboarding and support are included without a separate implementation fee.
Cons: Free and Starter plans have no agents, putting automated optimization behind a €1,999-per-month Growth plan.
Cons: Competitor monitoring adds €100-€300 per month per direct competitor domain, depending on site complexity.
Cons: Free-plan retention is only seven days, while even Starter retains data for just 30 days.
Cons: ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications are not yet held, which may matter to procurement teams requiring them.

Alternatives

Pricefy is a freemium alternative with a free plan for up to 50 SKUs and five competitors, daily price updates, AI Automatch, competitor discovery and one feed channel; choose it when those monitoring limits suit a smaller use case. 7Learnings is a paid alternative with pricing available by demo request, so it suits teams prepared to discuss pricing directly. NIQ is a paid option without a free plan, spanning Android, iOS, Windows, web and API.

Competera offers SLA-controlled competitive price monitoring with AI-powered product matching and pay-per-use billing, making it an option when that monitoring model is a priority. EDITED Pricing is a paid platform module with a free trial and demo-based access. Minderest is a paid platform with pricing information provided by its pricing experts. Wiser Retail Pricing is a custom solution for teams seeking access and pricing directly from Wiser. Pricefx Quoting uses annual subscription fees specified in an Order Form, with volume-based pricing.

Verdict

Retailgrid is a strong fit for mid-market retailers that want catalog rules and pricing optimization alongside retail data connections and imports. Its clearest advantage is bringing those decisions into one workflow; its clearest drawback is that agents begin at €1,999 per month, with competitor-domain monitoring costing extra. Choose it when those capabilities support an active pricing operation, and look elsewhere if the budget is better suited to basic monitoring or smaller-scale needs.
