Overview

Record a combat, upload its log and inspect the fight through Analytical, Events or Combat Replay views. Reports can live in a personal log space or a guild area shared with members, making the service useful both for individual players reviewing a run and teams coordinating around the same evidence.

Public boss logs are ranked by measures such as damage per second and healing per second. Guilds and teams can also compare fight speed and execution. Those rankings make performance visible across encounters, but players who want to keep their own parses out of public view can claim characters and hide them from public listings.

Key features

Live logging and report analysis

The client can monitor a combat log and send events as they arrive, so live statistics are part of the workflow rather than a separate post-fight step. Analytical, Events and Combat Replay views offer different ways to examine a report; that range is valuable when a team needs more than a single headline score.

Guild and character data

Linking a Battle.net account gives the service access to the user's characters and guilds. Shared guild reports and team rankings support group review, while player profiles and match history provide individual context. Character privacy controls offer a meaningful counterweight to the public-ranking model.

API and security

Gold includes 9,000 API points per hour and Platinum raises that allowance to 18,000, giving integrations more headroom at the higher tier. Warcraft Logs says it uses safeguards to protect personal information but does not guarantee absolute security; its privacy policy was last updated May 25, 2018. Support is handled through its support email.

Pricing

Warcraft Logs is freemium, with a free plan and paid monthly subscriptions. The paid tiers mainly add convenience, archive access, API capacity and guild features, so the right upgrade depends on how heavily a player or team uses the service.

Free: The free plan provides an entry point for logging and report analysis without a subscription. It does not include the paid benefits below.
Silver — 2.00 USD per month: Adds ad-free viewing, faster report processing and a Silver Discord role. This is the modest upgrade for regular viewers who want a smoother report-reading experience.
Gold — 5.00 USD per month: Includes Silver benefits, logs older than two years, a custom character banner and 9,000 API points per hour. It fits players or developers who need older reports or a moderate API allowance.
Platinum — 10.00 USD per month: Includes Gold benefits, 18,000 API points per hour, a custom guild banner, Multiple Report Analysis and guild archive access. This is the more suitable tier for guilds that need shared archive access or teams comparing multiple reports.
Archon Alchemical Society — 25.00 USD per month: Includes Platinum benefits, early product access, early Report Components access, and an exclusive Discord role and channels. It is aimed at users who value early access and community privileges, beyond the core analysis features.

Gold unlocks viewing logs more than two years old; Platinum additionally gives all users in a subscriber's guild access to archived guild reports. API capacity doubles from Gold to Platinum. The stated plan terms are monthly billing; no seat counts or free-plan quotas are provided here.

Platforms

Warcraft Logs supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux and an API. That mix accommodates browser-based report review, desktop logging and programmatic access. World of Warcraft is the supported game.

Who it's for

Choose Warcraft Logs if you play World of Warcraft and want detailed combat reports, replay review or public performance rankings, especially when your guild needs a shared place to examine fights. Developers building around its data should compare their expected API use with the Gold and Platinum hourly allowances. It is a weaker fit for teams seeking a general-purpose tracker across multiple games, since its scope is World of Warcraft.

Pros and cons

Pro: Live event uploads and three report views support both in-fight monitoring and post-fight analysis.
Pro: Personal and guild report spaces, team rankings and character profiles cover individual and group review.
Pro: Claimed characters can hide parses from public views and listings.
Con: Older logs and higher API capacity require Gold or Platinum, so archive-heavy or integration-heavy use adds recurring cost.
Con: Archived guild report access for everyone in a guild requires Platinum.
Con: Its World of Warcraft focus makes it unsuitable as a cross-game combat-analysis hub.

Verdict

Warcraft Logs is the right choice for World of Warcraft players and guilds that need shared combat reports, replay-based review and public rankings in one service. Its practical edge is the depth from live logging through team comparison; look elsewhere if your game is not World of Warcraft, or budget for Gold and Platinum if older archives and API capacity matter.
