Overview

Survtapp supports collection on iOS and Android, including when devices lose connectivity. Responses, signatures and photos wait on the device and sync automatically once a connection returns. That makes it useful for field work and event venues where an uninterrupted connection is not assured, though plan caps still determine how much data a team can retain and process.

Key features

Forms and evidence capture

The form builder combines 22 question types with templates and conditional logic, so teams can build structured workflows and show follow-up questions based on earlier answers. Signatures, photos and voice notes support records that need more than typed responses. Assignments and recurring schedules help organize collection across repeated work.

Kiosk, integrations and exports

Kiosk mode locks an iPad or Android tablet to one form, a practical fit for fixed check-in or waiver stations. Survey responses export to CSV, XLSX, JSON or PDF, giving teams several options for downstream use. Native integrations include SendGrid, Mailchimp, GoHighLevel, HubSpot and Constant Contact. Webhooks use HMAC-SHA256 signatures; REST API keys are available on paid plans, while the Business tiers explicitly include Open API access.

Privacy and security

The maker says its database and file storage are hosted in AWS Canada’s Montréal region and that it aligns with PIPEDA and GDPR. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal information or use advertising or remarketing tools, and that passwords are stored as one-way hashes alongside technical and organisational security measures. Accounts are for business use, and registrants must be at least 18.

Pricing

Survtapp has a free tier and paid plans from US$19/month. The pricing page says there are no automatic overage fees and administrators receive email as they approach plan limits, so teams must still monitor quotas to avoid hitting a cap.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, free forever. It includes 3 users, 100 responses/month, 5 MB storage, 2 kiosk devices, 3 forms and 120-day data retention. This is suitable for a small trial or low-volume workflow, but the storage and response allowances leave little room for sustained collection.
Solo: 19.00 USD per month, billed US$19/month or US$190/yr with annual billing. It raises capacity to 500 responses/month and 2 GB storage, with 3 users, 3 kiosk devices, 5 forms and 12-month retention. Email and knowledge-base support are included. The user and form caps make it an entry option for a small team, not a growing deployment needing shared access or many workflows.
Business: 59.00 USD per month, billed US$59/month or US$590/yr annually. It includes 5,000 responses/month, 10 GB storage, unlimited users, kiosk devices and forms, 3-year retention, integrations, Open API and priority email support. This is the clearer fit once multiple teams or integrations matter.
Business Plus: 129.00 USD per month, billed US$129/month or US$1,290/yr annually. It provides 15,000 responses/month, 25 GB storage, unlimited users, kiosk devices and forms, 7-year retention, integrations, OpenAPI, priority email support and white-glove onboarding. The higher quota and longer retention suit larger or longer-running programs; smaller teams may not need the added capacity.

The sharpest trade-off is between Solo and Business: Solo retains tight user and form limits and lacks the integrations and API access included with Business. Free and Solo also offer substantially shorter retention than the business tiers.

Platforms

Survtapp supports Android, iOS, web and API. Its offline collection is centered on iOS and Android, while kiosk mode is available on iPad and Android. That combination favors teams that need mobile capture plus a browser or API connection to their existing stack.

Who it's for

Survtapp is a strong fit for event teams, field operations and businesses gathering waivers, checklists or surveys on mobile devices, especially when offline work, signatures or photo evidence matter. It is less suited to teams that need high response volume or long retention at the lowest tier, or API access without moving to Business.

Pros and cons

Pro: Offline responses, signatures and photos sync automatically later, reducing disruption when field connectivity drops.
Pro: Kiosk mode, assignments and recurring schedules cover both fixed-station collection and organized repeat workflows.
Pro: Business plans combine unlimited users and forms with integrations and Open API access.
Con: Free is capped at 100 responses/month, 5 MB storage and 120-day retention, limiting its use beyond small pilots.
Con: Solo is limited to 3 users and 5 forms and does not include the integrations or Open API access of Business.
Con: Response and storage quotas remain plan boundaries even though overages are not automatically charged.

Verdict

Choose Survtapp if your team needs offline mobile collection, evidence-rich forms and kiosk use in one business platform. Its main advantage is keeping collection moving without connectivity; look elsewhere if the free or Solo quotas are too restrictive or you need API access below the Business tier.
