Overview

Workspot Client connects users to Windows 10/11 desktops hosted in Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, or on-premises data centers. Workspot Control manages virtual desktops and apps across those locations from one console, with scaling in minutes. That flexibility can help teams replacing on-premises VDI or supporting contractors and remote staff without committing every desktop to one hosting location.

The service also targets hardware refresh, high-performance computing, and business resilience. Configurable desktop resources, dedicated resources, GPU options, and use-based payment choices accommodate different workloads, though buyers need to confirm the configuration and commercial terms with Workspot before budgeting.

Key features

Centralized management and visibility

Control brings cloud and on-premises virtual apps and desktops under one management console. Workspot Watch analyzes session health across networks, locations, and clouds, while Trends reports historical user satisfaction and issues. Together, these tools give IT teams a way to monitor both current session conditions and recurring problems across a dispersed estate.

Resilience and security

Global Desktop supports failover to secondary desktops and advertises up to 99.99% uptime, an important option for organizations that need business continuity. The client supports device posture checks, encryption, profiles and permissions, and event logging for compliance. Workspot says an external audit firm assesses its information security and privacy controls annually against SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR requirements; customers can request assessment and penetration-testing reports annually.

Integrations and API

Session insights can be shared through Workspot's API with SIEM systems such as Splunk and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow. Documentation describes third-party client authentication with Okta and support for Entra ID and other OIDC identity providers through the Gateway Plugin. The REST API covers administrative tasks in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud deployments, but some commands are unavailable on Google Cloud. Teams relying on complete API parity should verify their required operations before choosing a deployment pattern.

Pricing

Workspot Cloud PCs uses custom pricing: the listed plan is billed as “Contact Workspot for pricing,” and the product page offers a demo. It is an enterprise service with configurable desktop resources and use-based payment options. Dedicated resources and a GPU option are available, but the price depends on the deployment rather than a published per-seat rate, so teams with fixed budgets should obtain a quote for their intended configuration.

Support terms also affect the operating cost. Standard support provides email access to support engineers during weekday business hours. Premium adds email and phone support 24/7/365 for an additional per-license fee, making it more appropriate for teams that need round-the-clock assistance and less economical for deployments that do not.

Platforms

Workspot lists Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and web access. Client downloads are available for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, macOS, iOS, and Android. Browser access is listed for Chrome on Chromebook or Windows, and Edge on Windows. The platform list is broad, but browser access has specific browser and device combinations rather than universal browser coverage.

Who it's for

Workspot is a strong candidate for enterprises consolidating virtual desktops across public clouds and on-premises sites, or supporting remote workers and contractors with centralized management. GPU and dedicated-resource options extend its fit to demanding workloads, while failover and session monitoring address resilience and operational visibility. Smaller teams seeking an immediate, transparent price or teams dependent on Google Cloud administrative commands that are not supported should look elsewhere or confirm those requirements before committing.

Pros and cons

Pro: One console manages desktops and apps across Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and on-premises locations, which helps teams operating a mixed estate.
Pro: Watch, Trends, and Global Desktop combine session analysis, historical issue reporting, and secondary-desktop failover for stronger operational oversight.
Pro: Dedicated resources, GPU options, and use-based payment choices support varied workload and capacity needs.
Con: Custom pricing requires a quote, so buyers cannot compare a standard per-seat price without specifying their configuration.
Con: Some REST API commands are unavailable on Google Cloud, which can complicate automation for teams targeting consistent cloud operations.
Con: Standard support is limited to weekday business-hour email; 24/7/365 email and phone support costs extra per license.

Alternatives

Cloud PC Services is the broader category to compare if you want to evaluate multiple desktop providers before selecting a platform.

Amazon WorkSpaces is worth comparing if you want a free plan or trial and Linux client support; its listed Windows single-session user fee is 4.19 USD per month, plus provisioned instance-hour charges.
Dizzion Cloud PC is another custom-priced option, with dedicated persistent desktops and CPU or GPU workload configurations.
Ace Cloud Hosting Desktop as a Service offers a trial and an Enterprise Team Desktops plan priced at 352.19 USD per month per user; consider it when a published plan price is more useful for evaluation.
Cloud PC ID offers storage plans starting at 5000.00 IDR per month for 50 GB; choose it when a low-cost cloud storage plan, rather than managed enterprise desktops, is the relevant need.
Fantom Cloud PC sells one-time day passes, including a 199.00 INR Neo Day Pass; it is a different purchasing model for buyers who want short-term access.
Infosaic Cloud Virtual Desktop has a Light plan at 11.95 USD per month with 3 GB RAM, 4 virtual cores, and specified storage; compare it when a fixed entry-level monthly plan matters.
MacinCloud offers pay-as-you-go access starting at 4.00 USD per month, billed by the day; it is an alternative to consider for daily rather than enterprise-scale purchasing.
Raff Hosted Virtual Desktops has a single-user plan with 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, and 80 GB NVMe for 45.99 USD per month; compare it when a specified single-user configuration is a closer fit.

Verdict

Choose Workspot Cloud PCs if your organization needs centralized management across cloud and on-premises Windows desktops, with monitoring, failover, and configurable resources for varied workloads. Its breadth makes it a credible fit for complex enterprise estates, but custom pricing and incomplete Google Cloud API command coverage are meaningful tradeoffs. Buyers who need transparent costs or consistent automation across clouds should compare alternatives before proceeding.
