Starting November 5th, 2024, swimmers and triathletes can snag FORM’s Smart Swim 2 goggles at select Apple Stores across the US and Canada and online at Apple.com (US, Canada, and UK). This marks a significant move for FORM, bringing their cutting-edge swim tech to a wider audience through Apple’s premium retail experience.
Why is this a big deal?
Well, imagine having real-time swim metrics displayed right before your eyes as you glide through the water. No more clunky wrist wearables or guessing games. FORM’s Smart Swim 2 goggles, launched earlier this year, use augmented reality (AR) to show you key data like pace, distance, and heart rate within the goggles themselves. This integration with Apple Stores means more people can experience this innovative technology firsthand.
Personally, I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can enhance athletic performance. When I first heard about FORM’s Smart Swim goggles, I was intrigued. Seeing your split times and heart rate in real-time, without interrupting your stroke, seemed like a game-changer. Now, with their availability at Apple Stores, I’m excited that more swimmers can access this technology and potentially elevate their training.

A Deeper Dive into the Tech
- See Your Progress Unfold: The Smart Swim 2 goggles feature a patented AR display that overlays your swim data seamlessly within your field of vision. This allows you to track your performance without disrupting your rhythm.
- Heart Rate on Deck: One of the standout features is the integrated heart rate monitor. This eliminates the need for a separate chest strap or wristwatch, providing a more streamlined swimming experience.
- Navigate the Open Water: The built-in SwimStraight™ digital compass helps you stay on course during open water swims, a feature I find particularly useful when training for triathlons.
- Workout Integration: The FORM Swim App allows you to create custom workouts or import them from platforms like TrainingPeaks. You can then follow your plan with length-by-length guidance displayed in the goggles.
More Than Just Metrics
Beyond the impressive hardware, FORM offers a subscription service, FORM Premium, which unlocks a wealth of additional features:
