Overview

Goodloading proposes load arrangements algorithmically, calculates space use and presents plans in 3D for manual adjustment. It covers cubic loads, barrels and pipes as well as trailers, sea and air containers, and pallets. That range suits teams working across transport modes; the ability to account for weight limits and physical obstructions also makes the plans more operationally relevant than simple volume calculations.

Projects can include multiple loading and unloading stops, with goods arranged to keep cargo for different stops separate. Users can share a project by link or PDF, including its loading animation and sequence, and add loads manually or import them from CSV and XLSX files.

Key features

Planning and optimization: Automatic distribution, space-use calculations and vehicle or container recommendations provide a useful starting point, while 3D manual adjustment lets users refine the result. The combination should suit teams that need both speed and control.
Real-world constraints: Plans can account for axle loads, permissible total weight, center of gravity, wheel arches and cooling units. These controls matter for operational planning, but axle-load handling is excluded from the free version.
Multistop loading: Separate arrangements for goods tied to different stops help teams plan a route without mixing deliveries. Multiple vehicle stops are a paid-plan boundary, so free users cannot evaluate that workflow fully.
API and data exchange: The RESTful API is designed to connect with TMS, WMS, ERP and route-planning systems. Verified integration applicants can test all API features with 300 requests per month and full technical support; requests require an access token in the header. CSV and XLSX imports offer a simpler path for teams not ready to integrate.
Sharing: Links and PDFs can carry the loading animation and sequence, useful for communicating a plan beyond the person who built it. Collaborator sharing is excluded from the free version.

Pricing

Goodloading uses a freemium model. Its Freemium plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes default load and cargo-space dimensions. It excludes palletization, oval loads and axle loads; the broader free-version exclusions also include custom dimensions, angled rotation, multiple vehicle stops, advanced container details and collaborator sharing. This is a reasonable way to explore basic planning, but not a complete test of the more demanding workflows.

The pricing note also gives a 7-day trial. Teams that need the excluded controls or collaboration should assess a paid plan; a price for that plan is custom pricing. API testing has a separate allowance: verified integration applicants receive 300 requests per month with full technical support.

Platforms

Goodloading runs in a browser and supports Linux and macOS computers. Mobile use is limited to viewing saved projects, so teams that need to edit plans on phones or tablets should look elsewhere. The API option makes it a plausible fit for software stacks that need programmatic integration, subject to token-based authorization.

Who it's for

Goodloading is aimed at road, sea and air transport companies, freight forwarders, logistics operators, manufacturers, stores, software providers and educational institutions. It is most suitable for teams that coordinate varied cargo and need visual planning with weight, space or route constraints. Its browser access and imports can serve standalone planning, while the API offers a route into existing logistics systems. It is a weaker fit for mobile-first operations or teams that require free access to advanced constraints and shared editing.

Pros and cons

Pro: Broad cargo and space coverage, from pipes and barrels to trailers, containers and pallets, supports planning across multiple transport modes.
Pro: 3D arrangements can be adjusted manually and account for practical constraints such as wheel arches, cooling units and weight limits.
Pro: Multistop projects, link or PDF sharing, file imports and REST API access cover several ways to coordinate plans and connect them to existing systems.
Con: The free plan removes several consequential controls, including axle loads, custom dimensions, angled rotation and multiple stops, limiting its value for production planning.
Con: Collaborator sharing is also excluded from the free version, and mobile users can view saved projects but cannot edit them.

Alternatives

For a wider comparison, start with Load Planning Software. LoadingMCP is worth considering when a no-login, no-card browser planner with a full 3D planner and compliance verdict on a free plan is the priority. LoadOptimizer.ai suits teams seeking unlimited AI optimizations at 39.99 EUR per month, or REST API access on its 99.99 EUR per month Pro plan.

MediaBeacon is an alternative for teams considering cloud or on-premise deployment and a broader range of platforms. ALPHA LOADING offers a free education licence for teachers and students, capped at 30 accounts per class. CargoLoader3D may suit users who want mobile support and manual placement on a free plan, which includes seven default spaces and five cargo items.

LOP is another option for mobile users, though its free tier is capped at three plans per month, one container and 20 items per plan, with one seat and no exports. PalletPlan is a fit for teams seeking a self-hosted option: its free plan includes one saved plan, and its annual Team plan requires at least three seats. Kubova is another freemium, web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose Goodloading if your transport or logistics team needs visual load planning across varied cargo spaces, practical constraints and a potential API connection to its existing stack. Its range of controls and import and sharing options make it a credible fit for cross-mode operations. Look elsewhere if free access must cover advanced planning and collaboration, or if staff need to edit plans on mobile devices.
