Overview

Event Schedule covers both event operations and appointment scheduling, from ticket types and promo codes to calendar-synced bookings. Organizers receive ticket payouts through their own payment account, and the company says it charges no platform fee. That keeps the platform’s ticketing economics attractive, though Pro is required for paid ticket sales.

Its open-source code is offered under the Attribution Assurance License, and users can install the product on their own server. The maker says self-hosting includes every Enterprise feature at no cost. That is a meaningful option for teams able to manage their own infrastructure, but it is distinct from the hosted plans and their support and email limits.

Key features

Events and appointments

Ticketing supports ticket types, add-ons, promo codes, reserved seating, and QR-code check-in. Registration tools, agenda building, speaker profiles, attendee login, and custom domains broaden the platform beyond a basic ticket page. Reserved seating and multiple team members are Enterprise features on the hosted service, so smaller plans do not provide the full event-operations toolkit.

Guests can book free or paid appointments in their own time zone. Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or Outlook, and CalDAV sync are intended to prevent double-booking. This makes the appointment side useful alongside event scheduling, especially for talent coordinating bookings; teams using other calendar systems should not assume equivalent sync.

Marketing and integrations

Newsletters include a drag-and-drop editor, audience segments, and A/B testing. Monthly recipient allowances rise from 10 on Forever Free to 100 on Pro and 1,000 on Enterprise. Those ceilings are modest for large mailing lists, so newsletter volume can become a reason to choose another tool or self-host.

Payment options include Stripe, PayPal, Payfast, and Invoice Ninja. Pro adds a REST API and webhooks, making it the hosted tier for teams that need to connect Event Schedule to their own systems. The privacy policy says data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS, sensitive information is encrypted at rest, access is controlled with authentication and role-based controls, and analytics cookies are not set when users decline or do not respond to tracking consent.

Pricing

Forever Free costs 0.00 USD per free, billed $0 /month/year. It includes unlimited events and schedules, one free appointment type, 10 newsletter emails per month, free event registration, and QR check-in. One team member and the small mailing allowance make it best for an individual evaluating or running a low-volume operation; it does not include paid ticket sales.

Pro costs 5.00 USD per month, billed monthly after your 7-day free trial. It adds paid ticket sales, the REST API and webhooks, 100 newsletter emails per month, and no platform fees. It is the practical upgrade for solo operators who need ticket revenue or API access, but the email cap remains restrictive for audience marketing.

Enterprise costs 15.00 USD per month, billed monthly after your 7-day free trial. It adds reserved seating, multiple team members, custom domains, priority support, and 1,000 newsletter emails per month. This suits a small team that needs those hosted capabilities, though larger mailing programs may still outgrow the allowance. Self-hosting is the route the maker offers for Enterprise features at no cost, in exchange for running the software on your own server.

Platforms

Event Schedule is available on the web, through an API, and as self-hosted software. That combination favors teams comfortable integrating or operating their own service; a hosted web offering remains available for teams that prefer not to self-host.

Who it's for

The maker names talent, venues, and curators, including musicians, DJs, comedians, and food trucks. It is a strong fit for those who need event registration or ticketing alongside appointment booking and want to keep calendar, payment, and newsletter functions close together. Teams needing more than the hosted seat or email limits should compare the Enterprise plan with self-hosting, or consider a more specialized alternative.

Pros and cons

Pros: Event scheduling and appointment booking share one platform, reducing the need to split those workflows across products.
Pros: Pro includes a REST API and webhooks, and ticket payouts go to the organizer’s own payment account without a platform fee, according to the company.
Pros: Open-source, self-hosted use is available, with the maker saying Enterprise features are included at no cost on users’ own servers.
Cons: Forever Free allows just one team member, one free appointment type, and 10 newsletter emails per month, making it unsuitable for a growing team or active mailing list.
Cons: Paid ticket sales require Pro, while reserved seating and multiple team members require Enterprise on the hosted service.

Alternatives

For broader event-product comparisons, browse Event Website Builders or Event Management Software.

Eventzilla is worth comparing if mobile apps matter; its Basic plan charges 1.50 USD per month per registration and includes one paid ticket or registration type.
Eventbrite is an option for organizers focused on publishing free events: its free plan supports unlimited publishing and free events of any size.
Indico is a self-hosted, open-source alternative with a free plan and no pricing plans stated.
Accelevents has Professional and Business plans with stated event and registrant limits; pricing is custom pricing.
EventCreate may suit a very small event: its free plan allows one event, 50 attendees, and one user, with a 5% ticketing fee.
Luma offers a free plan with unlimited events and guests per event, plus 500 invitations or newsletters per week and three calendar admins.
Hi.Events is a web-only option whose free Cloud plan has no monthly fee and adds a 1.25% + $0.60 fee to paid tickets by default.
RegFox is another free-plan option, with paid-registration fees of $0.99 + 1% and a $4.99 cap per registrant.

Verdict

Choose Event Schedule if you are a solo operator or small event team that wants ticketing, appointment booking, newsletters, and check-ins in one system, especially if API access or self-hosting matters. Its strongest case is the combination of broad event tools, organizer-directed payouts without platform fees, and an open-source self-hosting path. Look elsewhere if your hosted team needs more seats or your newsletters routinely exceed the plan caps.
