Overview

Plot is a web-based builder that creates a small-business website from a description, with a clinic setup for patient information and appointment requests. It suits clinics that want a focused public site and control over when patients can request appointments. Its central trade-off is that appointments are requests, not automatically confirmed bookings, and publishing requires a paid plan.

Key features

Clinic information and appointment requests

A clinic site can bring together services with indicative prices, clinician profiles, first-visit guidance, policies, contact details, a map and opening hours. Patients request a time and receive confirmation by email; the practice sets available days and hours and how far ahead requests can be made. That gives a practice control over its appointment window, but clinics needing patients to book a confirmed slot directly should look elsewhere.

Design and live editing

Plot says it offers 168 designs, each supporting sections such as booking, menus, galleries and team profiles. That makes the designs more than visual templates: clinics can choose a layout without giving up those section types. The live editor lets users change, replace or rearrange sections independently, so revisions to one part need not disturb the rest of the site.

AI and data handling

Plot generates websites from a business description and supports live editing with AI. Generation allowances differ by plan; when a user reaches the limit, editing and publishing can continue, but new AI content must wait until the next billing cycle. Content users choose to generate with AI is sent to Google through Cloudflare AI Gateway and Cloudflare Workers AI. Plot says it hashes account passwords, uses one essential sign-in cookie, and does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It also says it processes personal data under the EU GDPR and uses safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU/EEA.

Pricing

Plot is freemium, with unlimited building and previewing at no charge, access to all sections and themes, and no card required. The free plan does not publish a site; payment is required to publish.

Starter: 19.99 USD per month, billed monthly, or 191.88 USD per year, billed annually. It includes one published site on a Plot subdomain, 5 AI generations, 30 AI regenerations and 10 AI-generated images per month, plus basic email support. It fits a single clinic comfortable using a Plot subdomain and with modest AI needs.
Business: 29.99 USD per month, billed monthly, or 287.88 USD per year, billed annually. It includes one custom domain, 15 AI generations, 100 AI regenerations and 50 AI-generated images per month, unlimited bookings, email marketing campaigns and priority email support with a stated response time under 24 hours. It is the more suitable tier for a clinic that needs its own domain, heavier AI use or unlimited bookings.
Studio: 49.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes three sites with custom domains, unlimited bookings on every site, 30 pooled AI generations, 300 AI regenerations and 200 AI-generated images per month, plus a 30-minute onboarding video call. Its multiple sites and pooled allowances make it the fit for teams managing several clinic properties.

Starter is the least expensive paid route, but its Plot subdomain and lower AI allowances make it less suitable for clinics prioritizing a custom domain or frequent generation. Business raises the monthly cost while adding a custom domain, more generation capacity, email campaigns and priority support. Studio is aimed at multi-site use rather than a single practice. Plot has no free trial; the free build-and-preview tier lets teams assess the site before paying to publish.

Plot is available on the web.

Who it's for

Plot is best for clinics and practices that want to assemble patient-facing information, clinician profiles, forms and appointment requests in one website. It is less appropriate where confirmed self-service scheduling is essential, or where a practice wants to publish without a paid plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Clinic-specific sections cover services, staff, first visits, policies and contact information, reducing the need to assemble those page elements separately.
Appointment availability and booking windows are set by the practice, while patients receive email confirmation after requesting a time.
All designs support core section types, and the editor allows independent changes to individual sections.
Teams can build and preview without a card before deciding whether to pay to publish.

Cons

Patients request appointments rather than receiving automatic confirmation, so the workflow may not fit clinics seeking direct slot booking.
Starter publishes only to a Plot subdomain; a custom domain starts with Business.
AI generation quotas vary by plan, and reaching a quota pauses new AI content until the next billing cycle.
Publishing is not included in the free tier.

Alternatives

For a therapy-focused free site, Therapy.Page includes a custom domain and has no paid tiers. Willow Practice is another free option for individual therapists, with a minimal template, basic SEO and a standard booking button, but its profile carries a Willow Practice footer.

FrontDesk has a free plan with AI minutes, staff calling minutes, texts, a booking page and a basic dashboard; consider it when those capabilities better match your needs. Latrexa offers a free tier for one doctor and paid tiers for practices needing more doctors. Practice Front may suit teams prioritizing patient prospect contact management and multiple communication channels.

For a different website-building use case, Fabricate has a free plan with monthly credits and one app published at its own link. The separate Fabricate offers a free tier with monthly credits, one published project, a web-based IDE, live preview and one-click deployment. Webbin is another web-based freemium option. Verdict

Choose Plot if your clinic needs a flexible patient-facing website with appointment requests and clinic-specific information, and you are comfortable paying to publish. Its section-level editing and practice-controlled booking window are useful strengths; the request-based flow and Starter's Plot subdomain are the main reasons to look elsewhere.
