Overview

Mixdesk is a customer engagement workspace that brings social messaging, web chat and email together for sales, support and ecommerce teams serving customers across channels or languages. It suits teams that need more than a shared inbox, particularly when routing and AI handoffs matter. Its reach is broad, but AI messages and some channel fees sit outside the core subscription.

Key features

Shared conversations and automation

Mixdesk supports WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok Business, LINE, Telegram, web chat, in-app messaging through an SDK and email. A unified social inbox, comment management, team assignment and reply automation give teams a common place to handle those interactions. Routing can send conversations to a team, an agent or an AI; automated follow-ups, broadcasts and team workflows extend that coordination. This breadth is useful for teams consolidating several customer channels, but may be more machinery than a team with one primary inbox needs.

AI agents and languages

AI Agents can respond using approved knowledge, qualify leads and take configured actions before handing a conversation to a human with its context. Understanding and replies across 27+ languages, supported by real-time two-way translation, make the product more relevant to global teams than to businesses serving one language market. AI messages are metered separately from conversations, and Free and Essential include no AI messages, so those plans do not cover sustained use of the product’s AI-agent capabilities.

Connections, security and deployment

Coze and Dify integrations, open APIs, SDKs and webhooks provide ways to connect Mixdesk with websites, apps and internal systems. The company says it uses encryption, anonymization, access controls and security audits. Conversation content used by features powered by OpenAI GPT may be sent to OpenAI for processing after the user gives explicit consent, a relevant consideration for teams with specific data-handling requirements.

Enterprise capabilities include private deployment options, a dedicated delivery and onboarding team, 24/7 priority support and SLAs. Those options address larger deployment needs, though the Enterprise price is custom pricing.

Pricing

All plans include unlimited teammates, with no per-seat fee. That keeps team size from driving the subscription cost, but AI messages and third-party channel fees, such as WhatsApp fees, are separate charges to account for.

Plan	Price and included limits	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free; 10 conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 100 translation characters and no AI messages.	A small-scale trial of the workflow, not a durable option for a busy inbox given the conversation cap.
Essential	49.00 USD per month, billed monthly; unlimited conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 10K translation characters and no AI messages.	Teams that need the shared inbox and routing without AI-agent messaging.
Pro	199.00 USD per month, billed monthly; unlimited conversations, 5,000 AI messages/month, 20 connected channel accounts and 100K translation characters.	Teams beginning to use AI agents and needing more connected accounts and translation capacity.
Expert	Custom pricing; unlimited conversations, 30,000 AI messages/month, custom connected channel accounts and 500K translation characters.	Higher-volume teams whose AI and translation allowances or enterprise deployment needs exceed Pro.

The Free plan is constrained by both a 10-conversation ceiling and the absence of AI messages. Essential removes the conversation cap but still excludes AI messages; Pro is the first tier with an AI-message allowance. Pro’s 5,000 monthly AI messages are finite, while Expert raises that allowance to 30,000.

Platforms

Mixdesk is available on web, Android and iOS, and provides an API. Mobile apps can support teams that need access away from a desk, while the API and SDKs give builders routes to connect their own systems.

Who it's for

Mixdesk is best suited to global sales, support and ecommerce teams that manage multiple messaging channels and benefit from multilingual replies, structured routing or AI-assisted qualification. It is less compelling for teams that need AI messages within a low-cost entry plan, or for businesses whose needs stop at a basic inbox.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited teammates on every plan avoid per-seat pricing as teams grow.
Pros: Broad channel coverage, routing and workflow automation bring several customer-facing paths into one workspace.
Pros: AI-agent handoffs and 27+ language support address qualification and multilingual service needs.
Cons: Free is capped at 10 conversations, and Essential has no AI messages despite its unlimited conversations.
Cons: Separate AI-message metering and provider channel fees make the subscription price an incomplete view of operating cost.
Cons: Expert has custom pricing, so larger teams cannot compare its cost from the plan price alone.

Verdict

Choose Mixdesk if your team needs one workspace for multiple customer channels, multilingual conversations and AI agents that can pass qualified context to people. Its unlimited teammates and broad routing make it a strong fit for growing, cross-channel teams. Look elsewhere if AI messaging must be included at the entry price or if separate AI and channel charges would complicate your budget.
