Overview

Vendavo CPQ is a cloud quoting workflow for businesses with complex products and commercial terms. It is best suited to global B2B manufacturers, distributors, high-tech companies, and industrial services firms that need product rules and pricing controls to travel with a quote. Its integrated approach is compelling for those teams, but custom pricing and a demo-first buying process make it less suitable for buyers seeking a self-serve tool with a fixed price.

Key features

Guided configuration. Configurable product logic checks compatibility and dependencies, adjusts available options, and turns selections into quote-ready outputs. That can help prevent invalid configurations in complex catalogs; the benefit depends on how closely the configured rules match the business’s products and dependencies.

Pricing and agreements. AI pricing guidance and recommendations aim to help sellers protect margins. The platform also centralizes customer-specific and contract pricing, discount rules, and negotiated terms for use in quotes. This combination is useful when sellers must apply account-specific commercial rules consistently, though teams with straightforward pricing may not need this degree of control.

Approvals and analytics. Approval workflows route deals according to pricing thresholds, discount levels, and commercial risk indicators, giving organizations a way to review exceptions. Vendavo Analytics provides dashboards on margin performance across quotes, agreements, customers, products, and sales segments. The analytics focus is commercially relevant, but the supplied capabilities do not establish how teams can customize dashboards or workflows.

Sales insights. Machine learning models identify cross-sell and whitespace opportunities using purchasing patterns, product relationships, and similar account behavior. This is most relevant to teams managing broad customer and product portfolios, where those signals can inform seller priorities.

Integrations and security. Vendavo names Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, AWS, and Microsoft Dynamics, and supports APIs, batch processing, and file-based integrations. That range gives teams several paths to connect existing systems, while the actual fit will depend on their integration requirements. Vendavo states that data is encrypted at rest and in transit, with SSO, customizable role- and attribute-based access controls, and data segmentation. It also states that it undergoes annual ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type 2, and SOC 2 Type 2 audits and aligns with EU and UK GDPR and California CPRA requirements.

Pricing

Vendavo CPQ is paid software with custom pricing. The product page directs buyers to request a demo; no public price or plan limits are stated. That sales-led process may suit organizations evaluating a substantial CPQ deployment, but teams comparing fixed prices or planning a self-serve purchase will have less to assess up front. No trial terms, seat counts, quotas, or renewal terms are provided.

Platforms

Vendavo describes the platform as SaaS, with cloud deployment and access through web and API. Its CPQ Cloud datasheet names Chrome, Safari, and Edge as supported modern browsers. It also supports batch processing and file-based integrations for organizations that need alternatives to API connections.

Who it's for

Vendavo is aimed at global B2B manufacturers, distributors, high-tech companies, and industrial services firms. It is a strong candidate when product configuration, account-specific pricing, margin guidance, and deal approvals need to operate together. Smaller teams with simple catalogs or limited approval needs may find a dedicated, more lightweight quoting workflow a better fit.

Pros and cons

Pro: Configuration, agreements, pricing guidance, and approvals share one quoting workflow, which helps teams apply product and commercial rules together.
Pro: API, batch, and file-based integration options give teams multiple ways to connect Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, AWS, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Pro: Margin analytics span quotes, agreements, customers, products, and sales segments, supporting a broader view of commercial performance.
Con: Custom pricing and demo-led access make it difficult to compare costs before engaging Vendavo.
Con: The product is oriented toward complex B2B selling; teams with simple products and pricing may be taking on more process than they need.
