Overview

Fellow is an AI meeting assistant for teams that want meeting records to feed into searchable follow-up, not sit in isolated transcripts. It suits organizations already using calendar, collaboration, CRM, or project tools and needing administrative controls as they scale. Its combination of botless capture, meeting recaps, and integrations is compelling, but the lifetime caps on Free make it a short evaluation tier rather than a durable option for regular meeting volume.

Key features

From meeting capture to follow-through

Fellow records and transcribes meetings, then assembles a Meeting Recap with a summary, transcript, decisions, and identified action items. Speaker labels and note templates help organize those records, while the searchable archive and Ask Fellow let users query past transcripts, notes, and summaries for decisions or follow-up. That makes Fellow more useful to teams trying to carry commitments across meetings than a tool focused only on capturing notes.

Capture supports Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles, and in-person meetings. It can use a bot, or desktop and mobile apps can record audio directly without one joining the call. The latter is a practical choice for teams that do not want a meeting bot present, though Fellow's botless option is specifically described as audio capture. Admins can configure consent workflows, and users can pause and resume recording for off-the-record discussions.

The AI Note Taker supports transcription in 93 languages; Fellow also gives a product-wide count of 99 transcription languages. The figures describe different scopes, so teams evaluating language coverage should verify that their required languages are supported by the specific workflow they plan to use.

Integrations, privacy, and administration

Fellow connects to more than 50 tools across CRM, project management, AI, automation, and compliance. Named integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Asana, Linear, ClickUp, Trello, GitHub, Claude, Zapier, Glean, and Global Relay. That breadth makes it a stronger fit where meeting follow-up needs to connect with existing systems than where a standalone transcript is enough.

Fellow is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA-eligible, GDPR compliant, and CCPA compliant. Meeting data is not used to train Fellow or third-party AI models, including on Free. Admins can set retention policies, including optional zero-day retention. Enterprise adds RBAC, SSO/SAML, provisioning, retention controls, audit logs, and a Super Admin API, giving larger organizations more control over deployment and governance.

Pricing

Fellow is freemium, with a 14-day trial of paid features. When the trial ends, the workspace moves to Free. Workspaces are billed monthly or yearly based on active users at the start of the billing cycle; payment is accepted by credit card, check, or bank transfer. All plans include chat and email support, while higher tiers add onboarding and dedicated account management.

Plan	Price and limits	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free. Five AI notes and five AI recordings per user for life; maximum five seats.	Individuals or very small teams evaluating the workflow. The lifetime quotas make it unsuitable for sustained regular use.
Team	7.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $11 billed monthly. Ten AI notes per user per month, ten AI recordings per user, and maximum 20 seats.	Small teams that need ongoing use at a lower entry price and can work within the monthly notes and recordings allowances.
Business	15.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $23 billed monthly. Unlimited AI notes and recordings; maximum 50 seats.	Organizations that need unlimited capture and notes across a broader group.
Enterprise	25.00 USD per month per user, billed annually; contact sales for pricing. Unlimited AI notes and recordings, starts at 10 users, with no maximum seat count.	Larger deployments needing advanced administration and security controls.

Team is the economical paid tier, but its monthly allowances mean frequent meeting schedules may make Business a better fit. Business removes those quotas but remains capped at 50 seats; Enterprise starts at 10 users and is the route for larger workspaces and advanced controls. Active-user billing at the start of each cycle makes the workspace's seat count at renewal relevant to the bill.

Platforms

Fellow supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, browser extensions, and an API. That range gives teams desktop and mobile options alongside web access, with the API available for developer integration.

Who it's for

Fellow is best suited to teams that need more than a transcript: searchable meeting history, structured decisions and action items, and links from meeting work into tools such as Salesforce, Jira, or Asana. Its botless desktop and mobile capture is useful when a bot joining the call is undesirable, and its retention, consent, and enterprise controls matter for organizations with governance requirements.

It is less persuasive for individuals or teams with light meeting needs who expect a lasting free tier, since Free permits only five notes and recordings per user for life. Small teams can start on Team, but should compare its per-user monthly allowances with their meeting cadence before committing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Recaps combine transcripts, summaries, decisions, and action items, with search and Ask Fellow extending their value across past meetings.
Pros: Botless audio capture offers an alternative to having a bot join, and consent controls let users pause recording for private discussion.
Pros: More than 50 integrations and Enterprise administration features support workflows that span existing business systems and governance needs.
Cons: Free's five-note and five-recording lifetime limits per user, plus its five-seat ceiling, constrain evaluation and ongoing use.
Cons: Team still caps monthly AI notes and recordings per user, while Business has a 50-seat maximum; larger teams must consider Enterprise.
Cons: The language counts differ between the AI Note Taker's 93 languages and the broader 99-language product figure, so language-specific workflows warrant confirmation.

Verdict

Choose Fellow if your team needs meeting capture to become searchable decisions and tracked actions, particularly when integrations, botless audio recording, and administrative controls need to fit an existing stack. The main reason to look elsewhere is its limited Free tier or, for larger teams, the seat ceilings on Team and Business. For organizations ready to pay for sustained usage and governance, Fellow is a well-rounded meeting workflow platform rather than just a note taker.
