Overview

Hofmann combines print ordering with several ways to build a book: an online editor, a mobile app, and downloadable offline software for Mac and Windows. That range is useful when a project starts on a phone but needs more deliberate work later, while the browser editor keeps saved projects tied to an account.

Albums can be shaped with layouts, text, backgrounds, masks, frames, and stickers. The online editor saves a named project automatically every two minutes and can flag issues such as blank pages or missing spine text before an order. These checks help catch avoidable production mistakes, but do not remove the need to review the finished layout.

Key features

Photo imports and editing choices

The app imports images from a device gallery, Google Photos, Facebook, Instagram, and Dropbox. This is convenient for books assembled from several sources, although customers who prefer not to use a mobile workflow can use the online editor or the Mac and Windows desktop editor instead.

Book formats and production

The hardcover albums described here span 24–120 pages, with extra-page charges differing by album. A separate maximum-book-pages figure is 60 pages, so customers should confirm that their chosen product supports the intended length before building a larger book. PDF export and automatic layouts are also supported.

Privacy and support

Hofmann says it processes photos uploaded through its website, downloaded editor, or mobile app to create personalized photo products. Its privacy policy names Storio group B.V. as controller unless another policy or applicable terms say otherwise, and identifies Hofmann S.L.U. at Ciudad de Barcelona 18, Polígono Industrial Fuente del Jarro, 46988 Paterna, Valencia, Spain. Users have GDPR rights including access and rectification. The help center covers delivery, orders and payment, product creation, promotions, and accounts.

Pricing

Hofmann is paid, with a starting price of €11.99. The listed photo books are one-time product purchases, not recurring subscriptions; shipping is excluded, and extra pages are charged per album.

Album	One-time price	Size and pages	Extra pages
Álbum Apaisado S (Tapa dura)	€13.99	13 × 10 cm; 24–120 pages	€0.87 each
Álbum Apaisado M (Tapa dura)	€29.99	20 × 15 cm; 24–120 pages	€0.98 each
Álbum de Fotos Vertical Mediano - Tapa Dura	€29.99	15 × 20 cm; 24–120 pages	€0.98 each
Álbum de Fotos del Año con Ventana	€48.99	28 × 21 cm; 24–120 pages	€1.29 each

The smaller Apaisado S has the lowest listed purchase price, while larger formats and the window-cover album cost more before shipping. Since additional-page rates vary, the base price alone is a poor guide for comparing books of different lengths.

Platforms

Hofmann supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. The mobile app supports imports from several photo services; the desktop editor is downloadable for Mac and Windows, and the online editor saves projects to an account. That breadth accommodates different working preferences, though saved online projects depend on using the account-based editor.

Who it's for

Hofmann is a sensible fit for individuals and families making occasion-based books, including wedding, trip, or children’s-moment albums. It is especially suited to buyers who want print ordering and several editing routes in one service. It is less compelling for someone seeking a recurring software plan or a price that includes shipping, since the listed albums are one-off purchases and postage is additional.

Pros and cons

Pros: App, browser, and offline desktop editors give customers flexibility over where to build a book.
Pros: Imports from device storage and four named services reduce the friction of gathering a mixed photo collection.
Pros: Two-minute autosaving and pre-order warnings help protect work and catch some layout problems.
Cons: Shipping is excluded, and extra-page rates differ by album, making final cost dependent on format and length.
Cons: The 60-page maximum-book figure conflicts with the listed album range of up to 120 pages; buyers planning a long book should verify the chosen product’s limit.
