Overview

OnitX CLM brings contract records, approvals, negotiation, and ongoing obligations into a centralized system. Metadata capture, approval controls, and audit-ready records help teams maintain governance and spot potential regulatory, contractual, or litigation risks. That makes it a stronger fit for organizations with cross-functional review requirements than for teams looking only for a lightweight contract repository.

The cloud deployment is paired with API access and integrations spanning Salesforce, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, Tableau, CRM, ERP, e-signature, and document management systems. Bidirectional API flows can help connect contract work with existing business systems. E-signature itself is not built in, so teams should plan to use an integrated service for signing.

Key features

Contract creation and approval

Configurable workflows, dynamic intake forms, clause and template libraries, and automated data population support drafting and approvals. These controls can bring consistency to repeatable contracting; teams with straightforward, low-volume agreements may find the configuration unnecessary.

Negotiation and AI review

A Microsoft Word add-in supports redlining, versioning, and clause insertion, while document comparison helps reviewers track changes during negotiation. OnitX CLM also integrates with ReviewAI to review and redline contracts initiated in CLM, then log Word findings as structured data. This is useful when review work needs to remain tied to contract records, though the signing step still depends on an external e-signature integration.

Obligations, records, and reporting

Renewal tracking, obligation alerts, and automated reminders help teams stay on top of renewals, payments, and other critical dates. A centralized repository, configurable dashboards, and advanced reporting provide visibility into cycle times, clause usage, and obligations. Role-based permissions, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication support access control; OnitX CLM is covered by SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA. Onit states that data uses 256-bit SSL encryption, is held in a secured enterprise-class hosting environment, and is backed up daily.

Pricing

OnitX CLM is paid software with custom pricing. The OnitX CLM plan has no published price; prospective buyers are directed to book a demo. No free trial is stated. This buying process is suited to teams prepared to evaluate the platform with Onit, but offers less upfront cost clarity than a self-serve plan.

Platforms

OnitX CLM runs in the cloud and supports web access and APIs. The API and listed integrations make it relevant to teams that need contract data to move between legal and business systems.

Who it's for

Legal operations teams, general counsel, and contract managers are natural users, alongside business teams involved in contract intake, approvals, and obligation management. It is most appropriate where governance, repeatable workflows, and reporting justify an enterprise-oriented purchase. Buyers needing built-in signing or a clearly priced, low-commitment option should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Configurable intake, templates, and approvals support consistent contract processes across legal and business teams.
Pros: Renewal alerts, obligation tracking, and reporting keep important dates and contract activity visible after execution.
