Overview

Sonalyx agents handle inbound and outbound calls, interpret speech, intent, entities and sentiment, apply rules, access business systems and execute actions. They can confirm outcomes by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and escalate to a person when automation should stop. That makes the product a better fit for process-driven call handling than for teams seeking only a voice interface for answering questions.

Conversation handling covers turn-taking, interruptions, context and background noise. Support for more than 50 languages, including switching languages mid-call, could suit services for multilingual customer bases. These capabilities are balanced by hard concurrency limits on lower plans, which matter for teams handling simultaneous calls.

Key features

System actions and integrations: Sonalyx lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, SAP, Zendesk, Intercom, Zoho, Shopify, Twilio, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Calendly, Zapier and its own API. That range can connect voice workflows with customer records, commerce and communications systems.
Security and audit: Described controls include encryption in transit and at rest, isolated tenants, secret management, consent capture, retention policies, redaction and right-to-erasure flows. Actions, system calls and configuration changes are recorded and exportable, useful for teams that need an audit trail.
Telephony and deployment: Customers can bring their own carrier and numbers or use Sonalyx’s, with SIP failover, REST and webhooks. VPC and on-premise deployment are options where required; EU hosting is the default, with regional options.
Human escalation: Agents can hand calls to a person, an important fallback for service or sales workflows that should not be forced through automation.
Use cases: The listed applications span surveys and research, customer care, technical support, sales, bookings and collections, giving teams several call types to automate on one platform.

Pricing

Sonalyx uses prepaid conversation time, so the practical cost depends on call duration and volume rather than a recurring platform commitment on the lower paid tiers. That can suit teams with defined usage, but minute bundles and concurrency caps need to be checked against peak demand.

Plan	Price and allowance	What it means
Free	0.00 EUR per free; 20 free minutes; 1 concurrent call	Includes an international number and requires no credit card. It is useful for a brief evaluation, but 20 minutes and one simultaneous call are not enough for a meaningful high-volume operational run.
Starter	200.00 EUR per once; 400 survey minutes billed; €0.50/min	Prepaid usage, full platform access, no commitment, up to 10 concurrent calls, national numbers and a “Powered by Sonalyx” logo. It is the entry paid choice for a small deployment that can accept the branding and concurrency cap.
Professional	1200.00 EUR per once; 3,000 survey minutes billed; €0.40/min	Includes standard support, user management, custom reports, up to 25 concurrent calls and local numbers. The lower per-minute rate and team controls better suit ongoing use, but the larger upfront bundle is a higher commitment.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; 10K to 10M minutes; discounts up to 60%	Volume discounts, brand customization, no “Powered by Sonalyx” mark, dedicated support and a manager, with up to 100,000 concurrent calls. It is aimed at large-scale operations; pricing is custom.

A free trial is offered. An enterprise pilot can be live in 7 days, and a working demo agent built on a prospect’s content is usually provided within one working day. Those options may help teams assess fit before committing to a larger deployment.

Platforms

Sonalyx is offered via API, as self-hosted software and on the web. VPC or on-premise deployment, telephony choice and regional hosting options give infrastructure teams more control over fit with an existing stack than a web-only voice service.

Who it's for

Sonalyx suits teams with inbound or outbound call workflows that need system access, actions and a human fallback, especially when multilingual conversations or deployment control are requirements. It is less compelling for a team that only needs a low-cost chatbot or wants to test call automation without buying a meaningful prepaid bundle.

Pros and cons

Pro: Calls can progress from intent recognition to system actions and confirmations, which supports workflows beyond simple question answering.
Pro: API, self-hosted, VPC and on-premise options, plus customer-selected telephony, provide several ways to fit deployment into an existing environment.
Pro: More than 50 languages, mid-call switching and human escalation address multilingual and exception-handling needs.
Con: Free usage stops at 20 minutes and one concurrent call, limiting its value for assessing sustained traffic.
Con: Starter and Professional require prepaid bundles of 400 and 3,000 minutes respectively, so small or irregular workloads may not use the allowance efficiently.
Con: Starter carries Sonalyx branding and caps concurrency at 10; higher call volumes or white-label needs point toward a more expensive tier.

Alternatives

Voicebot Software is a broader category to compare when the priority is surveying voicebot options rather than selecting Sonalyx directly.

Chatbyte is a better comparison for teams seeking a web and API chatbot with 100 monthly conversations, a website widget and knowledge content, rather than call workflows.

telli is another paid API and web option with a free trial for teams comparing voice platforms.

Bland AI may suit teams prioritizing per-minute pricing and a free plan: its Start plan is $0.14/min with 10 concurrent calls and 100 calls/day, though it does not include a free trial.

Infinite Forces (Infinity) is worth considering when a monthly plan with 500 AI minutes and calendar booking, confirmations and reminders fits better than Sonalyx’s prepaid bundles.

Ada is an alternative for teams comparing a paid platform spanning Android, iOS, API and web.

My AI Front Desk may fit smaller teams seeking a monthly package combining voice minutes, chatbot conversations and SMS rather than Sonalyx’s call-focused prepaid plans.

Regal is another custom-quote option, with pricing based on team setup and discounts for higher spend and longer contracts.

SoundHound is a consumer mobile alternative for Android and iOS, with a free ad-supported option and a one-time fee for an ad-free experience.

Verdict

Choose Sonalyx if your team needs voice agents to act across business systems, handle multilingual calls and hand off exceptions, while retaining options for telephony and deployment. Look elsewhere if your call volume is too small or uncertain to justify prepaid minutes, or if the Free plan’s 20-minute, single-call ceiling is all you need.
