About

EventSentry File Monitoring tracks file integrity changes, including additions, removals, size and SHA-256 checksum changes, and transaction-log tampering. It can collect digital certificates and entropy, which can help identify certain ransomware outbreaks. Changes may be written to the Application event log with configurable severity and prior and new sizes or checksums. The current state of monitored files can be stored in the EventSentry database and compared across computers. Notification and integration destinations include email, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle databases, HTTP(S), Syslog, SNMP traps, and executable processes. Exported text event logs can be cryptographically signed and timestamped to help identify tampering. The product is on-premises, provides real-time alerts and compliance reports, and its file integrity monitoring helps with PCI requirement 11.5. EventSentry Light is free for up to five machines; the full edition is a perpetual license priced at $85.00 USD per Windows device. The full edition includes phone and email support.

Who it is for

It suits organizations that need on-premises file integrity monitoring, cross-computer comparisons, or integrations with established notification and database systems. EventSentry Light offers a free option for up to five machines; larger deployments may consider the per-device full edition.
