About

Peñalara GHC is timetabling software for educational institutions, with tools to plan, optimize, edit and publish academic schedules. Its planner imports data and handles complex timetables with strict and flexible conditions, including analysis of impossible conditions to help refine them. GHC Optimum searches for balanced schedules using configured preferences and criteria. The editor supports drag-and-drop changes, warns about possible conflicts and produces reports on assignments and preference compliance. GHC App provides shared timetable access through a browser and Android or iOS applications, with profiles for administrators, teachers and students, plus calendar publishing, absence and substitution management, and reports. Data can be imported from academic-management systems and solved timetables exported in formats including CSV, DBase, Paradox, XML, Excel and PDF. GHC Lite is free with reduced functionality; GHC Demo is free for 15 days, up to 10 teachers and three computer activations. Paid GHC Optimum is an annual subscription; the tier for up to 10 teachers costs 8300.00 USD per year. Paid software is single-user, and network operation is not possible.

Who it is for

GHC suits educational institutions that need to build, edit and share academic schedules, with constraints and conflict checks. Organizations requiring network operation should note that the paid software is single-user.

  • Free Lite edition is available.

What to know first

  • Paid software is single-user.
  • Network operation is not possible.
  • Demo lasts 15 days and supports up to 10 teachers.
  • XADE import from manager to GHC is the only guaranteed direction.

Verdict

GHC covers timetable planning through editing and daily schedule management, with several data exchange formats. Its single-user model and the direction-specific XADE guarantee are key considerations for deployment and integration.
