Trilio Site Recovery
Ranked in Kubernetes Backup Software
About
Trilio Site Recovery provides disaster recovery for Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and KubeVirt virtual machines. It supports synchronous block-level replication designed for near-zero RPO, as well as asynchronous replication. Automated failover can start VMs in a defined order, reassign networks, and change DNS. Teams can run isolated recovery tests from replicated snapshots without disrupting production and generate compliance reports. Replication policies can be expressed as Kubernetes custom resources and kept as Git-managed manifests; ArgoCD, Flux, and ACM compatibility are listed for GitOps workflows. The product uses an OpenShift-native, operator-based architecture with CRDs and a centralized control plane for multiple clusters, and does not require a VM agent. Hooks before and after failover can quiesce databases, flush writes, and notify dependent services. Listed capabilities also include persistent volume and cluster resource backup, application-consistent backup, dependency mapping, instant VM recovery, immutable backup storage, cloud targets, and off-site replication. Trilio announced availability in Technology Preview through its Early Adopter Program and says it supports Red Hat OpenShift 4.20 and later. Pricing is on request.
Who it is for
